It's not race or nationality, it's because he generally acts like a complete knob.

LOL... real talk. The culprits are usually the first to respond also. Quite funny.

    Agreed Cartoonface!

Its not that he black, or that hes black with a big mouth, black and successful or any other combo.

The haters for Floyd are basically

    a) Blind Pac fans
    b) People who hate Floyd's character combined with fighting style (If he backed up the tough talk in the ring as he did against Mosley, people like me would give him a lot of respect)
    c) People who hate all that ghetto bling bling mentality that has infested hip-hop and popular culture

Being a complete knob has nothing to do with his skills or his accomplishments. You have to seperate the two.

Agreed. But do you also agree the OP's assertion is wrong? I don't think people's dislike of Floyd has anything to do with his nationality.

Yep, I remember the Brian Kenny thread.

Highlighting the "Floyd will press the attack" snippet and putting the ":rofl:rofl:rofl" after that.

Floyd made em look stupid. Again.

I do, which is why I love watching him in the ring and he's one of my favourite boxers around right now.

Maywether is a polarizing figure. When say some of things he says and do some of things he does, people are going to dislike you. That's just how it is. The fact that he's so good and seemingly has everything going for him, only makes people more critical. At the end of the day, who really cares? Mayweather gets a ton of credit and praise from fans and sports writters. However, it's impossible for a guy like Mayweather to be without his fair share of critics. I think his race has very little to do with how he's treated. Now let's not get it twisted, people like rooting for their own. So if he was Mexican for example, he would be a lot more popular amongst Mexicans. However, he would still have his fair share of critics.
