I saw this in a mexican newspaper, it says that he was offered the reamtch in Japan but he needs to wait for Hasegawa to heal

Not too surprising, that was a massive hook he landed.

Japanesse fighters are happy fighting in Japan, they make money and they don't really care if they are recognized out of their country.

Montiel should tell Hasegawa to take a ****ing number and fight for the title in Mexico if he wants another shot.

I agree, but he knows that he can make far more money in Japan than in US or Mexico

Depends on what makes financial sense I suppose.
Montiel didn't need hometown advantage to beat Hasegawa last time. Maybe he's willing to forgo hometown advantage for an extra slice of the purse?

Only way I would fight in Japan again is if I got 80% of the live gate and atleast 2 mexican judges and an American referee.

They are going to give him the lion share just to get another shot at the title

He might get the 80%, but not the Mexican judges

i read on fightnews that hasegawa says he might have broke his jaw in the first round. he claimed that one of his bottom molars hurt and didn't think much of it. i guess it got worse as the rounds progressed.

Sounds like a poor excuse. Montiel literally and figuratively broke Hasegawa's glass jaw. His career is over now.
