i was very impressed the way he held his nerve at the age of 19 in the first round not too go down and comeback like that for the rest of the fight , his uppercuts were a joy and his work while on the ropes was beautiful

not only dos he have the red hair and freckles he has an irish look in his featuers aswel he looks like a close freind of mine , will definatley be keeping an eye out for him in the future

He surprised me with his cool when he was in trouble in the first round, I tought otto was there for the paycheck, but he really was doing his best with a bigger guy. props to Cotto for his fight.

Beautiful combinations the rest of the fight Cotto showed some chin in the fight.

yeah its hard to belive he is only 19 , hopefully he learns a bit more in defense before he steps up in class , looked a little bit vunerable when rocked in the first round but at the end of the day that is the sign of a true champion when he gets rocked like that and regains his composure so quickly

I been saying for a while that he needs a defense oriented trainer for a while to help him polish that part of his game

Man we were all going crazy at my house when he got rocked in that round. He looked ready to go. We were yelling at him to tie up.
That shows he is either not experienced enough to know that or he is a Morales type of fighter which will be huge with the Mexican audience.

No matter what this kid is either going to be a Mexican superstar or an incredibly exciting fighter. Hopefully he turns out to be both.

Cotto was a very good step up at this stage of Alvarez's career. Cotto would put any of Chavez jr's opponents to shame. It is clear Canelo is way ahead of Chavez jr or any other young mexican fighter for that matter in the race for the next great Mexican superstar
