    I think BHop/Oscar was a catchweight; wasn't it?

True, but I wouldn't be for it. I think Martinez would rather it be at 160 so he could weigh in at a more natural 158 or so, and I wouldn't want for a potential win to be marred by a catchweight. If it's for the MW titles it should be the MW limit.

Mayweather. Pavlik out boxed Sergio 5 through 8 until the cut. I Kelly figures him out, Mayweather figures him out.

What fight were you watching? It clearly wasn't Pavlik/Martinez. If it was, visit your nearest optometrist, and watch rounds 3, and 5-8 after he corrects your problem.

You know it will sound just like one of the typical posts, but I do believe Martinez is over the hill now. Two very tough fights at 160, and you could notice Maravilla's loss of speed and sharp reflexes compared to his 154 days. But it could very well be just the weight, and if Sergio can go back and get back the speed and reflexes of let's say the Bunema fight, his length, strength, sharp jab and athleticism could give Floyd a very difficult fight. Martinez, like Floyd, is a student of the game, excellent adaptor, very smart and has a lot of tools to come up with if one (or three) thing doesn't work.

This fight would be a personal super-megafight of mine, more of a boxing match, but an exciting one and on a supreme level, think Calzaghe-Kessler, one of my favorites of the past decade. I have to go with Floyd by decision if either Maravilla shows up, but damn, I'd pay for this one and would favor over Pac without a ****ing question. What a great fight!

Martinez could fight Floyd at 154 for the Jr. MW and lineal MW title correct? IT doesn't have to be at 160 limit for MW title right?

As long as he doesn't do it while forcing Martinez in a catch weight it should be legit. We don't need another catchweight king whose afraid of needles.

I'm only suggesting this if Martinez feels he wants to fight at 154 rather than 160.

Anyways, I think it would have to be a catch weight by default for both belts to be on the line at the same time. Jr MW is 150-154 and MW is 154-160. They would both have to weigh in at 154 in order to qualify for being in both weight classes at once.

MW limit is 160, you don't have to weight at least 154, you just can't weigh more than the limit. I remember all the Pac stans bringing that up with the Cotto - Manny catchweight bs.
