Cotto has been a true warrior of boxing. He faced the toughest oppents his entire carrer. Most of those fight turned into absolute wars. To lose his undefeated record to a cheating ******* like margarito and then a roided up pacman is a true shame. I'm fully confident he'll KTFO foreman and prolly win a couple more time b4 retirment. I'd like to see him fight a dehydrated PW at 147lb. I see it a close fight but maybe a KO for cotto late w/ the way PW walks into punches. This fight would avvenge the lose to Margarito b/c PW beat him.

So Margo getting caught red handed is the same as Pac never having been caught doing anything? Give me a break.

yer i've thought about that too..perhaps its a sign...i mean what are the odds of fighting:

    -a previous steroid user(shane)
    -a steroid user (pacquiao)
-a guy with plasters in his hand lol (margarito)

    Saddest?

Even if those allegations about Margarito and Pacquiao are true (I'm not much of a fan of either, but unproven is unproven and those not proven guilty are presumed innocent until they are) - calling him thesaddest story in boxinbg might be a bit of a stretch.

He is an eminently likable fighter in a crossover way (meaning respected by hardcore boxing folk and admired by casuals due to his grit) despite his strong and silent persona. He had to earn his starpower without the quick smile of a Tito or the flashy trashy lyricism of a Mayweather. He just put his head down and went to work across two competitive weight divisions (soon to be three) and shied away from no challenges, and that is to be commended.

This sport is full of tough breaks, and it can leave many a man broken. Cotto still keeps on keeping on - so you can't really call him broken just yet. If anything, right now he's more of an uplifting story of rising off the canvas (which he's known for in a literal as well as figurative sense) than anything else.

Flipping heck man! I'm a cotto fan but this is too much

let's leave off the accusations and IF pac was caught with stuff then fair enough. As for margo it possible/probable not conclusive so benefit of doubt has to be applied if possible.

I remember seeing Cotto totally dominant Randall Bailey in Dec 2004 & I said then he would go on to accomplish great things in the sport!

I wish we got to see Hatton-Cotto. Whether it be at 140 or 147lbs, I still say Cotto would have hurt Ricky! Even at 140lbs, Cotto would have proved too good imo.

Cotto never ducked anyone & while I would love nothing more than to see him avenge his loss to Margarito, why even give the cheat a big opportunity & a big payday that a rematch with Cotto would generate?

Any thoughts on a PW cotto fight?? It would finally be a big name PW craves. I actuaklly think PW always walking foward style would play into cotto's punching power.

Cotto-Hatton at 140 is one of those great missed opportunities of the last ten years (along with Morales-Marquez at 126, Guzman-Katsidis at 135, Adamek-Haye at 200, and Jones-Michalczewski at 175).

Cotto is a warrior and it's unfortunate what happened with his fight with Marg....but with PAC:yep He just got his ass beat by a better fighter. Marg may be a cheater but Manny was just better.

Cotto's still gonna be around. I fully expect him to beat Boreman, then defend the 154-lb trinket he wins against all comers.

Don't sleep on Yuri. Steward already said that he and Miguel and the whole camp have utmost respect for him as an opponent (sounded like maybe even a nervous kind of respect), and it sounded like real talk.
