In Vegas he would be the favorite....i could tell u that...Martinez is proven at the weight and against the elite...i give him a slight edge at 160 over Floyd...Vegas would have Floyd favored over most fighters up to 160lbs.

Don was a small LHW and was capable of making SMW.

Martinez is a small MW, but is a true and full fledged LMW. Hence the comparison when you look at the times in which each fighter decided to chase after the challenge. Floyd's a smallish, yet comfortable WW. Same with SRL at MW at the time. Going that far up and challenging a legitimate threat is/was pretty demanding of your "p4p skill"

 

Only reason Floyd would be favored is because of Martinez's obscurity. If Martinez had a bigger name and he took on Floyd it would be leaned towards Maravilla...as it should be.

Not only do I think Martinez wins, but knocks him out. 5'10 with a 76 inch reach and good enough power...with that ****in' speed. Disasterous for Floyd.

Floyd was a big 130, an average 135 and has been considered small since 140.

 

He doesn't even have to be the dog. Maybe even 50/50. But coming into a fight where the fans know there is a real challenge for him. Guys like Pacquiao, Williams and Martinez. Those are real challenges for him. Anyone else, you expect him to beat easily right now.
