After watching floyd dominate shane, and prove all da critics wrong i sed that he has 2 hav reclaimed his top spot. People thought the fight wud b competitive, that floyd would as haters say "run" and potshot and hold and just try and get the rounds and that if hurt we wud see him go into shell. That is not what happened. Floyd walked down the supposedly bigger and stronger mosley and beat him up, even breaking his warrior spirit it seemed and when faced with adversity in round 2 he came right bak and didnt even look to run but kept walking forward and looking to fight. Many thought if floyd czme at shane dat wud suit shane and it wud b his kinda fight but shane wasnt even in da fight. Mayweather beat him at his own game and against an elite ww, da best ww in da world floyds usually punch stats looked the same, his defense still looked as gud while being agressive. He destroyed the best ww in the world, a man pac didnt want 2 fight even when mosley offered 2 drop 2 140. My dad is not a mayweather fan but is a really big mosley fan and though he thinks floyd is a great fighter but doesnt lik him he even sed he shud b no.1. But as usaul the ring magazine shows they are pro pac. After all 2 fights at WW and they ranked him da 3rd best WW of the decade, despite one opponent bein drained and shot and da other bein damaged guds. Forget what da ring says floyd proved he is da best fighter in the world and if pac takes da test he will prove it again.
The Magazine is owned by Floyd's promoter why would they be biased against him? This doesnt make any sense.
Bias? He was 5-1 fav against Mosley. The owner of GBP Oscar, who promotes PBF, who has claimed PBF to be the best owns Ring magazine...if they were gonna be biased towards anyone it would be Floyd. It would be ridiculous to drop Pac at the top based on sat night. That performance as great as it was, was no more impressive than Pac-Cotto. Except look at how many fights Pac has had the last 3years, look how many Floyd has had? Floyd's fault for retiring and thinking boxing will stand still for him.
THE RING is sticking with Pacquiao as its No.1 fighter -- barely. The debate among members of THE RINGs Ratings Advisory Panel concerning who should be No. 1 pound for pound was fairly evenly divided between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Collins said. Manny and Floyd could very well be considered No. 1A and No. 1B. However, the tricky thing about the pound-for-pound ratings is that they are much more subjective than the divisional ratings, which are objective and based on results within the division. In the end, Pacquiao held onto the top spot due to his slightly better overall body of work and the difficulty involved in demoted a fighter coming off a virtual shutout performance such as Pacquiaos victory over Joshua Clottey. Other respected boxing journalists dont agree. One of them is Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports, our partner. I have great respect for what Pacquiao has accomplished in the last three years and there is a very legitimate argument that he has accomplished more in the ring than Mayweather, Iole said. That said, the fight with Mosley proved conclusively to me why Mayweather is the best. He fought offensively and stalked a man many thought he would run from. Yet, even though Floyd fought offensively, Mosley could still barely touch him. Mosley only landed 42 power shots in the entire fight, but what is incredible to me is that 13 of those were in the second round. Other than the second, Mosley landed fewer than three power shots a round. That's a testament to Floyd's skill as a fighter. The one thing most observers seem to agree on is that its more or less a toss-up. I can't remember a prolonged period of time in which there was more of a difference of opinion than right now, Collins said. Hopefully one day it'll be settled in the ring. i don't see how that is biased
You guys not remeber that the oscar thing came up wen he bought it. They sed thats not fair he will hav an influence on the rankings but oscar sed he just owns it and the ratings are done by the writers and he has no influence on them at all.
Floyds last 2 opponents were no. 2 and no.3 p4p. Wer was pacs. Floyd took apart the best ww in da world. Another thing wen mosley beat margo, who was da best ww in da world, mosley then took dat spot as best ww in da world. Pac beat cotto, no.3 at ww and he became ranked ahed of mosley. How does that work out, especially when cotto hadjust scraped past clottey in da fight b4 that.
Catch yourself on people thought that at least for 6 rounds mosley wud be in da fight and that mayweather wud hit and move in order to win and not engage with mosley.Nobody thought mayweather wud take da fight 2 mosley and completely dominate.
1. I love your spelling skills. 2. The Ring is owned by Oscar De La Hoya, who promotes Mayweather. So how can they be biased to him?
Think about this: Aside from Floyd who stands to profit more from a Pac-Mayweather fight then.......GOLDEN BOY OF COURSE! So obviosuly Oscar and Ring Magazine are going to keep Manny in the #1 spot further encouraging a fight between these two for pound for pound supremacy. Make sense?
