Lads anyone know the prices for tickets for the Lee fight? Preferably the finest(cheapest) tickets. I'm broke as a joke!

I went to Vegas for Hopkins-De La Hoya in 2004. It was so far back I can't remember hardly anything about it and probably have nothing useful to add to the request. But I'd like to add that it was a thoroughly exciting experience and one that every boxing fan would enjoy :good

My advice would be, when/if you ever get the chance then take it with both hands. I couldn't imagine ever going now!

Cheers mate. I'll be in the E30 seats with my binoculars so! Gonna pick them up tomorrow. :good Can't wait, Lee needs a KO for his confidence. I'm still undecided as to which way the Tims/Sweeney fight will go.

Well, you're looking to go to what would be, all things considered, the richest fight in boxing history so you could expect to hit a few snags.

The Vegas experience would be great but Klitschko v Haye in Germany (if it comes off) wouldn't be a bad substitute for probably not even a third of the money.

Anyone else notice how bloody useless Irish bookies are when it comes to boxing?

I usually do my boxing betting on Skybet but obviously with the Limerick card coming up this won't be an option. I've emailed Boylesports and Paddy Powers a few times about the lack of odds for Irish fights, fights involving Irish fighters abroad and their odds in general and despite receiving promising replies, nothing changes. :patsch

I just noticed that Yuri Foreman is 10/3 to beat Cotto via decision on Boyle. Worth a sneaky flutter me thinks. :smoke

Duddy vs Chavez is title elimator
3 May 2010 - By Cormac Campbell John Duddy's June 26 clash with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr now looks set to be billed as a WBC world middleweight title eliminator
Tuesday's Irish News reports that the San Antonio, Texas bout, which is expected to attract 15,000 fans will now be contested over the 12 round championship round limit - rather than the 10 rounds the bout was previously scheduled for.
With WBC champion Sergio Martinez rumoured to be considering vacating the title a full world title tilt for Duddy - and indeed the possibility of all-Irish clashes between Duddy, Andy Lee and Matthew Macklin - would appear to have moved a step closer.

I dony want to rain on anyones parade but I dont think Joe Ward has got proper recognition for his achievments on this forum. IMO no current Irish boxer am or pro, except maybe Egan, has matched it.

How good do you think he can be? If he keeps winning these sort of events the natural progression would be Irish seniors, European, world and finally Olympics. Do you think hes that good, or will he struggle to adopt to the senior level like Moylette.:think
