Probably my favorite performance of his in since Judah. I loved seeing him come forward and land beautiful punches for 10 straight rounds.
If people don't like him as a person...fine. But to not respect him as a fighter is to not be a fan of boxing.
I thought it was a fantastic performance, he simply outclassed Mosley in a way nobody has ever done before.
I thought it was an absoulutely brilliant performance. Iv watched it a couple of times it was dat gud.
Damm,,, I'm glad so many people enjoyed it... I was definately impressed with Floyd's "performance"... but thought the fight was a bit of a snoozer outside of those few tense moments in the 2nd round. Difference is,,, even as a known and admitted Floyd "hater", I can't really blame Mayweather for the disapointment this time... Sure I would have like to see him go all out and stop Shane, who looked like he was there for the taking at times... but that's not Floyd's style. It was up to Mosley to press the action and make some excitement in there... but he could'nt... or would'nt. Shane was the one posing, holding and backing off from what I remember. (hav'nt seen a replay)
Yeah, if Floyd has a major weakness, it's probably his finishing. Not being a consistent combination puncher is inherent in that type of weakness. But all fighters have weaknesses and to be honest this is probably the most manageable weakness to have and it's not much of a factor because Mayweather is a master boxer and can dominate his man regardless. The only time i reckon it would be a huge problem would be if he was up against another great technician who had monstrous power, say if Floyd hurt him and let him off the hook, then the other atg could potentially hurt him afterwards and it would bite him in the ass. PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS AS ANY SHOT AT FLOYD, i consistently preach that he's a great fighter and i appreciate the **** out of him.
