Who Should Manny Paq. Fight Next If Mayweather Fight Can't Be Made?

If the fight between Floyd can't be made he should fight Bradley or Berto next. Both are now available. No matter who he chose first, I think he should fight the other next. So fight Berto 1st and then Bradley. Don't waste time in between fights trying to make a Mayw. fight. He should go straight to Bradley/Berto. These would be the best matches available. Berto the young upcoming talent of the welterweight division, with good speed and power. he is not much bigger than Manny , he is the same height and is not the physically biggest welter, but he has big welterweight power. Bradley is the best 140lb in the world. He has had some impressive wins over the last few years. He is an exciting fighter to watch.

Plus if he fought these two then Floyd would have nowhere to go. Bradley the best 140lb fighter in the world Berto the best young welter in the world. There would be no other welter for Floyd to top Manny ( like he tried to do w/Mosley compared to Clottey) and if he looked at a division down (like he likes to do) no matter who he chose if Manny fought and beat Bradley it would be said, " yeah he chose fighter x but Manny already beat the best 140lb fighter in the world". This would put floyd in a position of no one to turn to but Paqman. No way Floyd would fight Williams and I don't think he would fight Martinez. Martinez is bigger and a very quick and smart crafy fighter, too high a risk w/ too little reward. Not enough money for Floyd to risk a loss. Martinez is the middleweight champ, but is not well known and we all know Floyd can't carry a pay-per-view on his own. The reason the last few years he has had good pay-per-view numbers are because of the popularity of his opponents not him. Hatton, De La Hoya, Marquez. Before he fought these fighters his name alone could not even fill a small Portland event center. The strength of a big pay perview fighter is if he can do good numbers w/o a big name opponent and Floyd can't do that.

Bradley at 140 is moar intriguing than his promoter's potential ideas of Margacheato or Cotto. Unless Cotto manages to come back to his former glory in just one fight.

 

I don't see why he should fight Bradley when he can still fight Maidana/Alexander. He's probably at his best at 140 but I'd rather see him fight someone like PW. He would kill Berto.

Yeah I think he would ko Berto too. But I think he would be making a good point by fighting Berto. That is he is willing to fight the young strong talent out there. Berto is the young upcoming talent of the division. For a veteran fighter to fight a strong hungry younger opponent says volumes. Plus it one ups floyd.

I would rather see Manny fight Bradley rather than Medina or Alexander, plus I think Paq. v Bradley would be a great fight. Bradley would defintely not turn down the huge payday Manny would give him. Medina and Alexander are good young exciting fighters but Bradley is the top jrwelter and is better known than Medina and Alexander. Paqman fighting Medina and Alexander don't make sense yet. Plus Bradley deserves such a fight more than Medina or Alexander. Plus again fighting Bradley makes a statement and that is I only fight the number one fighters of the division from lightweight, jr.welter, and welterweight. If he beats the top fighters of jr welter and welter Floyd would be stuck with 2nd rate opposition , which is what he usually likes.

There is no way Manny would fight Williams, just a bad style matchup. Williams is just too tall and too big for Manny.

 

Biggest threat would be the Mexican from TR that Floyd been ducking. :yep

 

You mean MArgarito (TJ or TR)? If so MArgarito does not deserve such abig money fight, plus Manny would easily beat him, possibly stop him. From the Mosley fight it seems MArgarito's chin is gone, plus he would not be able to deal with Manny's movement.

The sad thing is 140 has the more intriguing fights but 147 or even 154 will bring more money/Arum fighters. I'd love to see a fight against Bradley or Alexander.

First, Pac won't get any credit for fighting anybody else except for Floyd. If that fight can't happen, he should fight somebody which poses the least risk with the highest reward.

He has earned it.
