Their fight was close. I think Mosley is a better boxer than Cotto. I tend to pick the winner of the first match. This time I'm going against my norm and going with Mosley.
Do you even watch boxing FFS!!!???? atsch How can you compare the Forrest fights to the brutal ass whooping Cotto received against Margarito, where Cotto let his man pride go and knelt before Tony because he was getting ****ed up!??? And against Mayweather, Mosley got thoroughly outboxed, and a bit busted up, but nowhere what Cotto endured against Pac, where the ref saved his ass from further punishement. atsch Do you even understand boxing? Really??? :-(
I would be hugely surprised if Cotto didn't win this one. His decline is a little exaggerated. He was competitive with a prime Pacquiao until he was knocked down and won a disputed close decision against Clottey. For the record I had Clottey winning that one by a point but Cotto's cut clearly hampered him. Cotto UD by a more convincing margin than their first fight.
Cotto in a closely contested bout, again. Cotto may even make it more convincing this time around as he's been in there with SSM and Shane does not adapt, even for rematches. Sugar is very much a pattern fighter, so is Cotto, but Cotto can make adjustments and have more dimensions to his game than Shane, but Shanes toughness and power will keep him in there for the long run, and perhaps even stop Cotto late on.
His decline prior to the Pac loss may be exaggerated, but we haven't seen him since the Pac loss. His losses to Pac and Margarito are hard to bounce back from mentally. That's why I'm reserving judgement til the Foreman fight.
I think it would be a good fight. Depending on the damage taken, the loser may be better off retiring, with the winner having maybe a couple or a few more fights left.
Cotto is not as presice, refined, tight or as confident as their first fight, where imo he hit his peak.... however, mosley might not be as good as he was then eather, so i still see this as a close competetive fight but one in which i favor shane.
atsch Forrest beat the tar out of Mosley in that first fight, that 2nd round Headbutt/Uppercut combo was as brutal as it gets but unlike Cotto he kept going and got beat up even more when late in that same fight Forrest went low in the 9th round and then Tee'd off on Mosley some more. And I don't care what anyone says Mayweather gave Mosley a beating he didn't simply outbox him like he did ODLH, Judah or Baldomir, he walked him down and landed hard right hands for 10 rounds, FFS Nazim was getting ready to throw in the towel after the 10th atsch luckily Mosley got a second wind. Really do you watch boxing at all?
