Was Mayweather so impressive ?

Right, to start off, iam not his biggest fan so lets get that point off the table.
Lets take a look at his win over shane.
Lets face it, there were MANY that wanted to beleave shane still had what it takes to beat mayweather, at the end of the day, he didnt age over night,he aged in the year plus between fights.
Is there a true fan on the planet that thinks sataday night was the true shane mosley ? of course it wasnt.
Now i wont take anything away from mayweather, its not his fault shane was well past his sell by date, after all he showed no signs of aging in his last fight, but that was a year ago, and at his age thats a bloody long time.
Now i know the mayweather fans are going to jump up and down and scream " EXCUSES", there not though, shane really was poor on sataday.
He totaly failed to cpitalise on a dominant second round.
Have we really learnt anything new about mayweather from sataday ?
No we havnt, he is a great fighter, but he does have a habit of fighting people on the slide, or much smaller than him.
He was lucky sataday, had it been a prime shane, we would be looking at a 3rd of 4th round stopage for mosley.
It didnt happen, and shane was puffing from round three like a 50 a day smoker.
Lets just hope the pac - mayweather fight can be made, because i dont think there is a fighter out there at the moment that could beat mayweather.
This is after all about who is the best around, personaly i think pac wears him down and stops him in the 11th, i just dont see how he can hold off the wirl wind that is pac, he may to an outsider look like a pure pressure fighter, but to those who watch boxing all the time, pac is actually a very clever fighter.
Lets hope the fight gets made, so all questions about who is top dog get put to bed.
Untill that happens this forum will remain a kinder garden from both sets of fans.

 

Thats just it, it didnt impress me.
Lets face it, we were all hoping for a great fight, but shane just wasnt at the races.
The mayweather fans will scream its because mayweather is so good, the reality is, shane has had a bloody long career, and was 38 and well past his sell by date.
Not floyds fault, granted, but then his fans should still see the win for what it was.
A good performance against an aged fighter.

 

Not true.
If he does to pac what he has done to all other fighters he has fought, there will be no questions left to answer, he will be the greatest fighter of HIS generation and weight class.

 

There is one very big difference.
Pac has always been small.
Shane hasnt always been old and gased after three rounds.
Floyd didnt do that to shane, father time did that.
