tech speaking my man juice...u gotta have the footwork to do what zab did in those 4 rounds..pac will not be able to get the ring generalship cuz his footwork, while very fast, is sloppy at times..

Furthermore even when his footwork is on par...its not on par with floyd at all by any means....im not even sayin this as a fan of floyd but as a student of the sport...trust the fight tempo will be controlled by floyd....not pacquiao..pac cant win a technical boxing match with floyd..he'll get picked apart...his best chance is to hope he can land something

Pac doesn't have a jab and he has short arms. How in the hell is he gonna find it easy to get in on the best counter-puncher in the game without paying a heavy price? Pac will get busted up badly in this fight from the 5th round on by the 6th round it will look like a typical PBF clinic as Pac presses getting hit with everything. Pac only knows how to fight one way coming in and out there's nothing complicated about his attack it's just the guys he's fought didn't have the athletic ability to go along with the technical ability to exploit it and PBF has both. PBF is too much of an athlete and technician to be beaten by a limited fighter like Pac.

 

I think Manny has more unorthodox footwork. As for whose is better, we'll have to wait and see. Floyd isn't going to let Manny throw 100 punches per round. If he tries, he'll land 10 and take 25. Roach isn't going to let Manny come in with a ridiculous game plan like that. I believe they'll try and get him out of there early and try to fight more tactically if they can't. Once they get in there, however, they will realize that it's not so easy to knock Floyd out and even harder to outbox him.

 

Well put...they also take "reach" completely out of the equation... Don't you like when they talk about how Pac jumps in and out of range? Mayweathers strongest attribute is his ability control distance. Has no problem fighting on the backfoot... I think that reach will play a major factor is this aspect...

 

A guy with no jab comes in off balanced and wide open and only fights one way will outbox the best boxer of this era.:roflpatsch

 

It is impossible to focus strictly on the stylistic advantaes and disadvantages without discussing how size factors into each of those characteristics.

You have to discuss Floyd's reach and size, because he uses these attributes, and the advantage or disadvantage to determine the style of fight he will employ. Same for Pac I guess.

It goes completely out the window when it comes to talking about PBF. Reach will play a key factor in this fight. Pac will have to lunge in even more against the best counter-puncher in the sport in PBF. JMM countered him to death when he lunged in and he has short arms. With PBF's even longer arms and more speed he will damn near kill him.:rofl:rofl
