The first obstacle to Mayweather beating Hearns would be getting him to sign the contract.

I think, Flea would mostly agree.

Seriously, though that is a shocking article.

The Hearns pick is bloody baffling. Don't see Floyd winning that at all.

I was quite surprised when I saw Houston had written that.

The only pick worth any salt is Tito.

The rest is bull****, I mean the Napoles pick is absurb and what he uses to qualify it is a total disgrace.

It's an awful article: the stylistic breakdowns are pitiful.

Duran would beat up Floyd Sr and Uncle Rog' at the press conferences, then take away Floyds jab and beat the **** out of him. Or outslick him, which he couldve done as well.

Napoles looked better against Cokes than Floyd has against anyone in his career.

Hearns is unwinnable for Floyd. He'll get battered OR outboxed.

Gavilan would give Floyd the biggest drubbing of all :deal

I think Floyd could definitely beat some of those.

Perhaps there is some agenda in the article, contrary to the ESB agenda against contemporary fighters.

The one fight I'd say Mayweather definitely couldn't win is Hearns.... it's just a no-no. It's a pretty unfair matchup though - a lightweight (effectively) vs a light-middle. The only thing really in Floyd's favour is his balance, but having the shorter reach and lesser jab of the two it won't mean **** all.

As for the others, I'd be willing to listen to arguments either way.

Who has Floyd beaten at welterweight to show he could defeat Robinson, Leonard, Hearns, Napoles?

How blatantly bias do you want to be. The only one's you agreed with were the fights that the writer thought Mayweather would lose.
You laughed of the suggestion that he could possibly win any other. I would give Mayweather a chance against anyone from 130-147 from over the years. I am not saying he would definitely won but he would certainly have a chance. you can't deny the fella's skill set. What makes you sure that he would have lost to every great fighter in history... Oh that's right, your blind hatred and complete bloody mindedness

Aye, he rates Floyd higher than most.

    Forrest would beat him IMO.

And to the poster you quoted, admitting these guys would bear him is not 'denying his skill' it's denying there's. They have attributes Floyd just couldn't nullify IMO.

If he didn't have the '0' this hype would not be so big. B-Hop has a better resume and put on clinics against more formidable opponents. He also fought top opposition way past his prime.

The fact is; Jung Koo Chang>>>>>Floyd :deal

Is there anything galringly obvious that you disagree with my quick anaylisis? That you think would make Mayweather win?

mmm.. I know this one. Pick me.

    Baldomir, Judah, Hatton and Mosley

    Where am I bias?

Matching a fighter with fighters that are naturally bigger and arguably flat out better, in mythical match ups and I am picking against him, with most agreeing with me. Where is the bias?

I laughed as some of the anaylisis's were so inept, and the conclusions even worse.

I actually think Mayweather is a superb fighter and a fairly good force at 135 and 140lbs. I also rate him as the 2nd best Super-feather that ever lived, behind Alexis Arguello. And dont bother calling me biased becuase I have an Arguello avvy.

    Indeed, I am.

It is like what I was just speaking with Flea about. We arnt haters, just realists. (Flea's quote)

I'm not sure ''flat out better'' really applies in some instances.

To me, Floyd simply is THAT good. Granted his opposition at welter hasn't been as good as it could have been, but the opposition he has faced has been dispatched with such ease that (in my opinion) it would be foolish to write him off against elite fighters in the 130-147 range.

Obviously the naturally bigger guys like Hearns you can make an exception for, as I pointed out.

H2H I think he is a nightmare for pretty much anyone at those weights. The fact that he's a bit of a dick most of the time shouldn't alter that.

I like Floyd and rate him highly.

Just watch Napoles or SRL or SRR or Kid Gavilan. And say these guys arnt better than Floyd, and they are naturally bigger.
