the abridged version of my McCullough article @ the Hatton site http://www.brandhatton.com/VideoNews/1030/Wayne_McCullough_to_make_a_comeback.aspx
well I was supposed to be at a wedding on Friday 14th in Kerry and I said to the mrs - sure why not make a romantic weekend and stop off in Limerick on the Saturday night. Poor girl's gonna flip when she realises were heading to Lee fight ringside. gonna get a black eye when the ring grils get up - go on ya good thing.....
sweeny and jj mcdonagh were sparring today and paddy was sparing garcia and brian vera yesterday god help healy
Im in the same boat mate. Also what an achievment for Joe Ward and Ryan Burnett taking home gold and silver from the world championshis. Well done.
mattdonellon....not even egan has matched joe wards achievements, 2nd best achievement in irish amatuer boxing history imo
I actually thought McCarthy nicked the final against Egan - I couldnt understand how Egan was picking up some of his scores. The scoring in the finals was ridiculous. Anyway, there's always next year:good
Agree fully Gasman twice Mc Carthy landed big and Egan got a point without even throwing a shot. I believe most leaving that night agreed a McCarthy that was a year older would beat Egan.Still 10 in a row is some achievement.
Hopefully some time next year they try and get him home for a fight in Dublin. Would be great for him to build up a home following as well as a following in the US. Him and Dean Byrne on the same card would fill out the National Stadium. Add Duddy or Lee to the bill it could be the o2.
lads was talkin to jamie kavanagh on facebook and he said this is his opponent for the khan card http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=362193&cat=boxer
