You know inside fighting is as much a style of boxing as anything ?
Nothing was allowed in that fight, the moment they got close the ref was calling for a break, it was truely disgusting and cortez should be ashamed of himself.
It speaks volumes when a pressure fighter like hatton who does a hell of a lot of damage on the inside is not allowed to thow a single punch without the ref breaking them up.
It was all part of the plan, to be fair, it was probably the only thing mayweather feared from hatton, so he made sure it was neutralized before the fight even happened.
By the way, its very poor form to use "son" i already used that, it makes you look foolish, so at least try to be original when your trying to patronise me please, other wise you just end up looking like a tool.
Still, you do seem more than capable in that department.

It was a very impressive performance from Mayweather. He was hurt twice in the second round and got through it very well. And after that he showed why he is the most skillful fighter of his generation. And the fact that he stayed in front of Mosely all night and didnt run made me happy.

I am a Huge Fan of SSM (PBF and PAC) and I was hoping he make it a competitive fight. Floyd is smaller than Winky and Vernon (rip) but neither one of them could neutralize and immobilize SSM the way he did. I think Shane would have opened up if he could but he was getting popped every time he threw. I think a more aggressive young (and less experienced) would have got ko'd because he would have left himself wide open. But i think PBF skill turned an older SSM into an Old SSM.

Right now I favour SSM over 99% of the WW division. I think he beats Berto, Quintana, Clottey, Collazzo, but he is not in PBF league. I still think a fight with Pac would be interesting. SSM could not open up on PBF because when he did he wasn't hitting anything (except in the 2nd round) once PBF adjusted quickly after the great right hands he had no answers. Against Pac he would be wiling risking getting hit to get in his own power shots . . . it would be an extremely interesting and entertain slugfeast. I would still pick manny because of volume of punches but shane would make it very interesting.

Yes but after getting buzzed like he did in the second I thought he would just go into a shell and try to steal rounds instead of taking them like he did.

EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES!! Since I'm convinced that you occassional fans of boxing will never appreciate Floyd,I'm going to make it plain, why at any weight and any age,Shane would have been dominated. Instead of Shane looking at Floyd's fight to figure him out,he should of been looking at his own fights and asking himself why didn't I ever develop a jab, body punches, uppercuts, footwork etc. I just watched one fight of Shane on youtube 2wks b4 this fight and saw how he would lose. When he throws his strong right hand,if he misses or hits, hes never in a position to come back with a combo.doing that against a Floyd proved to detrimental. If he misses,he's so far out of pocket that hes still out of position for a combo and hes making himself tired early, happened with Margarito also.Shane is a slugger not a boxer, but ev'body knows that even a half ass boxer will always beat a good slugger and Floyd just proved it.At any weight and age Shane would have been picked apart.Final Note: Remember it was Shane who called Floyd out this last time. If he knocked Floyd out, this discussion wouldn't be taken place

Impressive yes. The fact that he got hurt, then elevated himself to a level that Shane couldn't handle was great. Not only was is great, he shut Shane down every round after the second.

Why is there a need for a Floydette to reassure another Floydette????

It is really a disturbing pattern in ESB!

When a Folydette writes a thread, another one immediately jumps with something like this : "you got it bro", or "You are so handsome."

Is there a FLOYD GROUPIE? Do you have monthly meetings? Quarterly? Annually? Is your president Nallege, and your muse SDS?

I'm usually bored at Floyd's fight, but this one, though boring, was really impressive. And I'm a Shane fan at that.

    :D

If it was just one guy, you call it self-affirmation. :D Makes them feel better, so just give it to them. Let's leave them alone. Damn, I became Pats fan when they beat the Raiders back in 2001 when I was a big Raiders fan. Floyd proved me wrong and I'm becoming a fan now I guess.

Most unbiased people including myself knew what was going to happen. Floyd beat another washed up opponent and there are people dumb enough to claim he beat the best version. To say that Floyd beats Mosley at any time based off of this fight is ignorant at best.

I feel sorry for Floyd's fans, he shits on their faces and they just take take it with an open mouth. They're left to make excuse after excuse for why he doesn't fight the top fighters his own size or age or better. We know he can go 1-1 with Castillio at Lightweight, we know he can out point a bigger faded De la hoya. Now we know he can dominate an old slow Mosley. We are supposed to be impressed?

    None of us KNEW.
We all hoped the mosley of old showed up and beat floyd to death.
    It didnt happen.
Roll on pac, because i just dont see floyd beating him.

Mosley could have knocked Void out in the second round, but someone told him to quit throwing punches in the very next round, after having Void out on his feet! Pac will not throw a fight with Void, therefore Void will refuse to fight Pac.
