Yes i have mentioned that a few times....but hey its boxing, its upto the ref to warn and deduct points. So therefore Floyd doesn't do it enough to warrant a point deduction i guess. Its being smart, he knows when to be dirty, when to hold, when to jab, when to move.......the guy is a top boxer....the dirtyness is a part of the sport, always has been.
Jesus, guys, **** happens in the ring. Let the ref deal with it or let the other fighter give it back in kind. So does Martinez.
It's called checking, boys - it's a marginally legal and very tactical fight strategy when on the inside. Floyd 'cheating' with his elbows is a bit of a stretch. Unlike headbutting, rabbit punching, and thumbing, using the forearm to create distance is something they actually teach at a boxing gym....
:nonoThat's where someone is gonna **** up if they're not careful. It takes a lifetime of practice to have the instinct to know when and when not to use it. I can envision a scenario where Floyd does it effectively, and someone tries to do the same thing and winds up leaving themselves open, only to get knocked the **** out...:bbb
I'm just saying. It's done. It's not a big deal unless the other fighter gets into **** for hitting you in the back of the head because you're causing it. The mention doesn't really require TWO forehead slaps, Jerome. Come on. I ramble and blurt and you ****ing deal with it, brother. Thanks, yeah he knew how to take your footwork away with those.
Its cheap. Its his comfort blanket. He can also use it to feel when the fighter makes agreesive movements. He has low punch resistance and any punch could almost get him out so he protects himself in more ways then one, I think.
Oh, for ****'s sake. atsch He's been in serious trouble one time in five weight classes and 41 fights and now any punch could almost get him out of there.
That was the first one I thought of. It's funny, but even though it was an illegal tactic I liked when George did that. It was such a pure, evil, bullying move - and it said "stay where you are, I like you at that distance cause I'm looking to knock your head off"
He needed room to tee off. If you wanted to smother him, noooot so fast. The Foreman shove's going to give him some room. I kind of liked it too. I think it messed people's heads up. Big dudes getting shoved around like kids, ref not saying boo. It's effective.
