Yes he has been in the game ages...not sure how much he gets involved in the main events......I thought George sets the UC's and does a great job with the small budget he gets to play with.
Is anyone else feeling a bit confused by all of this? Now we all know Mundine can draw a lot of money fighting bums, so it's fair to assume that in a legit world title fight held in Australia he can make even more money. If he wanted this fight at all, surely he would have put a bid in, given that 1.2 mill in relative terms is peanuts. If he didn't want the fight, why not, and what could his logic be? If there are indeed any Mundine fans here, it would be nice to know your take. This isn't a world title that had to be chased, there can be no more excuses about "the fight couldn't be made", "the guy demanded too much" etc, it was here for the taking so what has happened?
I see you've come up with several excuses for why Mundine wouldn't want to fight Golovkin - is this because you are starting to accept the fact he he probably won't fight him?
Flash stated he would prefer Mundine fight the Japanese 154 interim champ, which I read as being "Mundine will be fighting the Japanese 154 interim champ, not Golovkin". Not even placing a bid for Golovkin speaks volumes ash.
