Fury-McDermott II - update!

    What's happening with this?

    The board have said Hennessy will be promoting it on the 22nd of May but there's nothing about TV, no press releases or anything like that :think.

    If this fight is going ahead then Fat Mick should make sure Primetime pick up the Marquez-Vazquez IV card which is also on the 22nd and package it together with the Fury fight for about £6.

    I looked yesterday and its up on Boxrec but that doesn't always mean anything other than its a "possible".

    :think It's not on boxrec anymore but this is from the board's notices:

    HEAVYWEIGHT (Vacant) JOHN MCDERMOTT v TYSON FURY
    The above contest to be promoted by Promoter Mick Hennessy will take place on Saturday, 22nd May 2010 at a venue as yet to be advised.

    There is no way that this fight is going ahead on a Hennessey promoted show not ickets have been sold no venue confirmed and no undercard. He must be trying to put this on a show with Hearn or something but May 22 its just not happening

    I checked the fights on the dates button yesterday and it was up then. Very strange.

    This is becoming a joke :-( I feel so sorry for John, he comfortably beat Fury and now has been sitting on the sidelines waiting to get a rematch to avenge a horrible robbery. He exposed Fury for the average HW it is and I will be supporting John 100% in the rematch.
