Brother Naazim makes some interesting points about foot placement and landing the right on floyd. Will Mayweather be able to avoid/correct this tendency fior pac?
Can pacman exploit those tendencies or will pacs lack of reach play against him landing similar pounches. Obviously pac also brings the footwork and crazy angles.

"I knew we would land that right hand. I seen some tendencies in Mayweather that made me know we could land that shot, but we had to remain calm after he landed it. If Shane hits anyone with that right hand at 147,
he's going to hurt him, so I knew we would hurt him at some point. He was trying to set it up in the 1st round and I think he was a little hesitant to throw it and when he landed it in the 2nd, I think
that's one of the reasons he couldn't settle down afterwards. See, the right hand landed because of foot placement," stated world-class trainer Naazim Richardson as he shared his thoughts on Shane Mosley&
#39;s performance against Floyd Mayweather this past Saturday. Check out what he had to say about the fight, Floyd Mayweather and much more.

The thing is, you gotta be the right kind of fighter to land a right on floyd...

Interesting. Margarito wasn't hurt until after about 200 of those landed.

"foot movement"....yup...shane had position on him to land on the first punch..came in with the jab to the body and floyd covered up down there and than he went to the head....

Footwork is the key ingredient "technically" speaking for a pac floyd fight....whoever wins the footwork battle will force "their fight" on the opponent..pac better get to working on it cuz i've never seen anyone not named pernell whitaker with as good of footwork that floyd has...

I have a great deal of respect for Nazim Richardson.

It was good to finally get to know a bit about him. Everything he says about boxing is bang on the money.

He's working with some kid in Arkansas? :blood Shouldn't he be in Philly, since Cunningham has a fight in less than a month?

The problem is floyd has insane spacial awareness. He knows how close you are, and he knows were you will go next, thats why he is so hard to beat

Margarito is bigger.... and he's a mexican, and he wasn't hurt he was stopped so there you have it.

Good interview, I'd like to see how Naaz would do with Hopkins in a rematch with JC.

There I have what? Yes he was stopped, after a million.

He sure wasn't hurt by the first one. Just saying that the whole "X punch would hurt anyone" line is total BS.

Not to mention that Shane was hitting him with flat-footed bombs. When Shane hit May, he was full steam ahead, putting his whole body into it. He might have slipped and fell again had Mayweather moved out of the way.

So does Margarito have the greatest chin of all times, or is Mosley just not that good a puncher in your opinion?

I think Floyd is though and has a great, very underrated chin, Mosley hit him hard, and I don't think his punching power has diminished since Margarito.

Anyway Shane is bigger than Floyd and so is Margarito, just because he can't take a heavyweight punch doesn't mean he isn't though.

Margarito and PAc have been stopped in fights. Floyd takes 3 big shots from Judah, Corley and shane, and doesn't go down, and he never appears truly hurt and close to being finished. Turn off the love for Pac you ***** lol...

Great interview. The dynamics of the foot placement thing would of course be different for a southpaw fighter. Neverthless, I hope Floyd does watch the fight and correct those issues. After all, Tarver was a southpaw as well and landed the big left on Roy Jones. I'm sure that Roach is paying attention to all this.
