Total mis-match!....less than one round. Jeremy Williams would have been a better first opponent.

That's what Tim Silvia told Ray Mercer.

Couture is not a submission fighter he is more greco roman wrestling and dirty boxing. I'm surprised they did not let Toney cut his teeth on a couple of cans before taking on an ancient but still capable Couture. Toney either has brass balls or just doesn't comprehend what he is getting himself into. This would be like Couture, for example, deciding to box and taking on a faded legend like Holyfield in his first boxing match. I don't think Couture is going to serve his chin up on a silver platter to Toney like Sylvia did for Ray Mercer. On the other hand, if Toney develops a decent sprawl and stays on his feet he will take Couture's head off. I just don't think Toney can learn the fundamentals so quickly. He has a puncher's chance. That is all. But IF he lands something? That is what makes this more than just a freak show.

    No need to say more.

Kimbo Slice DESTROYED Mercer very easily, by rushing him and taking him down right away.. :!: Kimbo had almost no ground skills at that point.

Mercer KO'd Silvia when Silvia was stupid enough to stand with him. :bbb

Which method do you think Couture, an extremely talented wrestler and former UFC HW champion, will use? :huh

Toney won't get beaten up, let alone ko'ed. All this "destroyed" talk is ridiculous. He should quickly get subbed.

Obviously the easy pick is Randy by submission, but I have a feeling he may KO Randy within the first minute lol

right now hell be working almost exclusively on his sprawl and how to get up when taken down. that stuff doesnt take long to learn. toney will make it interesting for a round or two but i suspect randy will take his back at some stage and james will be ****ed.

That's what I think as well. His team should know he is done if it goes to the ground so they will be working mostly on his take down defense. He'll either catch Randy early or Randy will get him to the ground and submit him.

Toney could KO Couture at any time (during the stand up part of the fight).... And Couture could take Toney on the ground & either TKO him...or win by UD. Who knows ? It should be interesting.

Thing is Randy almost never submits anyone... His record speaks for itself.
He once pulled an anaconda choke against Arsdale...And he also did recently submitted Coleman...But that's like...Two subs from 2010 to 1997.

Also , yeah...Toney has the potential to do it , not to mention randy's chin isn't great. But if he can avoid toney's strikes , he should be able to easily take him to the ground and finish him there.
