5 year anniversary of Corrales v Castillo 1

Still unforgettable. I wrote a wee bit about if over at the BN.

Without question one of the greatest fights ever seen in the ring. They left it all in the ring that night. That 8th round, that 10th round...!

Astonishing.

Wow, for some reason i thought it was longer ago than that. What a great fight though, unbelievable.

 

I've seen Hawk-Arguello, Ali-Frazier, Chavez-Taylor, Barrera-Morrales, Vasquez-Marquez, Hagler-Hearns, Leonard-Hearns & Gatti-Ward, but for me Castillo-Corrales is the best fight ever. Even better than Casamayor-Katsidis or Casamayor-Corrales. :smooch

 

It's a great fight.

You just have to forgive Chico for the gumshield shenanigans.

Amazing finish.

 

Of the modern era I don't think I've seen a fighter's will and spirit remain so strong and basically unbreakable.

 

What an incredible fight that was. Surely one of THE turnarounds of all time. I simply could not believe what I was seeing!

 

Time flies. They left it all in the ring.

 

Easily one of my favourite fights of all time!!!

I don't. The 10th round was just a farce. The cheating ruined the ending.

Then he pulled the same **** against Clottey :bart.

 

It seems like yesterday to me.

Anyone know who the fat bloke is that puts his gumshield back in? Always wondered but never bothered to find out.

The way he looks at him as he's doing it makes the hairs stand up on my neck.

 

I can't argue with you. It was cheating.

I forgive him.

 

Now I am with you on this one. Cheating French **** wouldn't have survived the round.

I am aware of my hypocrisy.

Two of my favourite fighters of the modern era; its just a shame one of them had to lose.
