    Come on,Sergio. You were looking so sincere and now you want a diamond belt for fighting Floyd?Floyd didn't even want a diamond belt.

    Source is on the scene btw. Not sure if anyone read this one yet since i just woke up here in the beautiful Arabian Gulf.pfft.

    Martinez still holds the belts in regards apparently but the WBC Diamond belt is for "special fights" so I'm not sure how to feel on this one. Nevermind that if you won,you could say that you ended Floyd Jr's winning streak.You have to have a ****ing trophy too?

    Thoughts?

    Apparently they changed their mind about what they want it to ****ing stand for.The scene said it has a one time fee instead of a percentage and it's for fights of great importance,not necessarily catch weight anymore.

    Sulaiman must have put something sweet in his ear about how important those ****ing belts are.Or Sergio is just getting swept up in the thrill of being champion.He's still a stand up guy,I don't think it makes him anymore of a douchebag, but it's not like beating Mayweather wouldn't be a huge prize all on it's own.

    Strange indeed. If he wants to put up the money for it then whatever. But you're right the real accomplishment would be beating Mayweather not getting a makeshift toy belt.

    I'm getting these ones confused, was the diamond belt the one that was originally going to be for catchweights? What was the one that they were going to replace the interim belts with? Was that the silver belt or something? Frankincense? Myrrh?

    Apparently this was how the belt system was supposed to be set up, but this is just weird now:

    Regular WBC belt- Actual Champion
    Silver WBC belt- Interim Champion
    Diamond WBC belt- Catchweight defenses, I'll assume this belt would allow a champion to keep his belt if he was to lose a catchweight fight, but reward the winner, I guess. But now I don't know.

    originally when the WBC made their cash grab,it would be for fights with catchweights(which encourages it) but now they've had to backtrack so that they can put up a diamond belt to pretty much anyone who wants it if they're important enough.in this case,it'd be a fight involving mayweather so martinez wants the chance to pay money out of his pocket and get a shiny new belt. I think Diamond Belts are going to be thrown at pretty much anyone considered the top of the division or p4p list.so basically,only fights that involve Floyd or Manny.

    Good luck to Maravilla with trying to squeeze the sanctioning fee for that piece of garbage out of Mayweather if they ever fight.

    So does the diamond belt travel with Mayweather? Lets be realistic he isn't going to be staying at Middleweight, he'll be back at 147 in the next fight afterwards, so does he carry his belt down to 147 or not? Since I guess the Diamond belt doesn't have a weight class or something.

    Wow man, you can actually come up with a reason why it's bad that Mayweather devalued an alphabet belt by not accepting it? You're the only one man.

    If he has a chance to fight for a WBC belt, I guarantee you he pays the fee.
