What the hell is wrong with Boxing nowadays? Why do we have to wait YEARS for fights with the viciousness of Morales VS Barrera 1 or Gatti vs Ward? Where's the blood?

And they wonder why Boxing is in the shitter. Give us fights with some ****ing VIOLENCE, why don't you!!

If I want to see constant sloppy brawling, I'll watch MMA. When I want to see finesse, I watch boxing because matches don't always have to be crude to be enjoyable.

If you want **** fighting go watch MMA. Those fights end quick and are very sloppy and I'm sure they got a lot of blood per fight.

Also, who is this "they" you speak of? Because I have also heard from they and they say Boxing is as healthy as ever.

"They", the millions of fans Boxing lost over the years because of a cloying timidity from the governing authorities. The fighter themselves are no less courageous but are being pressured by management to extend their careers. Boxing already has sufficient safeguards in place, it's time for the pendulum to swing back the OTHER way.

I can't find the official Las Vegas gate numbers that was posted on here awhile back, but here are a couple of links on how "bad" Boxing is doing.

Not to mention Pacquiao sold out Cowboys Stadium, the Klitschkos are selling out stadiums in Germany, and there have been very few PPVs these last few years, and when there has been a PPV it has gone over the 1 mil mark with ease which is unprecedented considering none of them have included Heavyweights.

And where's the violence? The brutality? You talk about Pac, I saw that stinker with Cotto at the bar, what did that PPV?

I sure as **** didn't pay for it!!

Are you perhaps a promotional agent here on ESB to "talk up" Boxing? :D

You didn't watch the first 5 rounds of that Pacquiao-Cotto fight? If you didn't enjoy that then you just aren't a Boxing fan. May'be you just aren't a sports fan? Or go and try Hockey, (American) Football, MMA, etc.

I believe that PPV did 1.2 Mil. So, again Boxing is doing real well. No, I'm not an agent I just bring up facts.

Only people who want to see something fail will keep saying its failing when by all logical accounts that it is doing well, but f%^k people who cant see that there have been a S^&TLOAD of OUTSTANDING fights in recent years, hell in 2010 alone, kessler v froch, williams v martinez, Marcos knocking the wind out of Cayo, hell if the Guy is that blood thristy martizez cut pavlik up, my whole thing is I here all the time about the good old days so many people spend so much time looking backwards and complaining they never see whats in the present or future for the Record I got Cintron over Williams in an upset
by the way go watch MMA which has plenty off blood and guts Gatti v Ward type fight

Yes I did. It was actually in the 2nd half I start nodding off - mostly jetlag + the beers, but if I'm brutally open, if Cotto actually hit BACK, **** it, I'd have woken up to watch.

Honestly, if you think Pac Vs Cotto was enjoyable, you should take up IFC (International Federation Chess), I think it'd be more to your liking, plenty of exhilarating sacrifices of big-value pieces for longer-term checkmates. Why are you on this site, again, let alone this thread? You want me to believe you're just a fan, with an outlook like yours? 1.2M ppv supposed to be "impressive"?

You're the one who used the word 'Agent' for the first time here - so, sorry, but not buying it, sunshine.

John Murray v Gary Buckland for the European LW title was a pure war, and it was fought last night. There's loads.
