Everyone's already talked about a prime for prime fight between these two, but how about a fight in late '95? Say Bowe opts to fight Tyson instead of 3rd Holyfield fight. Who wins?

Prime Bowe stands a better chance since those Bowe is probably more undisciplined/past it.

He's about as bad a styles match-up as there is for Tyson imo.

Tyson would have had a lot of problems with Bowe in 95. I watched Tyson Bruno 2 yesterday. What a mess Tyson was.

Bowe had declined substantially by late 1995. He did not look very good in the third Holyfield fight, but no one noticed it at the time because Holyfield looked even worse.

Still, Tyson was also a shell of his former self. And the 1995-96 Bowe had a lot more heart than the 1995-96 Tyson. I think of Bowe survives the early rounds, Tyson gets frustrated and might give up.

    Bowe by KO8.
I don't understand why some claim Bruno II was one of Tyson's best performances, he looked awfully sloppy.
Indeed Bowe was badly faded also, but I think he had enough left to stop this Tyson.

Bowe lacked the tools to keep smaller men away from him. Bowe actually wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, he brawled toe-to-toe with guys a full head shorter than him because he didn't know how to box tall. In fact - considering his height - Bowe was terrible at controlling range and using his reach. Tyson would have little problems closing the distance.

Tyson by TKO before the 6th round.

In 1995 Bowe was as good as you can get. Tyson had seen better days. Bowe would win.

Yeah, if this was prime for prime tyson would probably win. but Bowe is just better at this stage.
