Nah, it just stopped landed. And Floyd started landing his own. The compubox numbers show Floyd both outjabbing Oscar, and Oscar throwing as many jabs at the end of the fight as at the beginning.

A jab is a good weapon, but if you don't start disguising it or mixing in feints it will stop landing and stop being useful.

    I liked the "Viper".

    RIP.

He really gave it to Mosely, and I don't know how Mayorga ever beat him.:huh

Please. DLH was gifted Sweat Peas belt because he was the heir apparent. He had his hands full and didn't look great at all. Now he would beat FMJ? No chance.

It would have been a hell of a fight though.

The Forrest that handed Mosley his first loss wouldve given Floyd hell. The Viper looked like Tommy Hearns that nite.

I think Forrest was a very good fighter, but he would probably lose a close fight against May. I remember his second fight with Mosley, that was a very close one, not like the first one.

Actually I think those fighters would have a chance against Floyd, who are skilled, who hit very hard and can exercise pressure effectively. A prime De La Hoya would have a chance, but I am sure a prime Mosley (2000 version) would knock him out.
On the other hand, these fighters would without any doubt beat the sh*t out of a prime Manny Pacquiao as well. Which makes me think that perhaps Mosley-Oscar I was a bigger fight than Mayweather-Pacquiao will be.

I respect Forrest as a fighter and most importantly as a person(RIP). He would've given Floyd hell and even Roger admitted that but if only he was a better finisher.....Mosley would've been stopped! Good for me though because I'm a big Mosley fan lol. RIP Forrest you were a great person.

That's true. Also bodypunching is underated. I don't think if people feint enough either.

bang on. feinting is almost seen as a waste of time, same as creating angles and setting traps. all the power in the world doesn't mean **** if you can't set it up

he was pretty damn elite in his day. two dominant victories over a prime mosley disagree with your assessment

:good Young fighters don't wanna become technicians anymore. Makes me respect the art of defensive footwork, feinting, blocking, etc. you know...good fundamentals.

when your speed and strength fades, it's those fundamentals that save your ass. harold johnson, ricardo lopez and hopkins had the keys of the game mastered to such a degree that they could neutralize the physical advantages of their opponents
