Calzaghe beat Kessler who KOd Beyer and beat Bika who drew with Beyer. But would he have got much credit beating Beyer who lost to Catley and Sanavia?

i said it wasnt his fault that beyer and ottke didnt fight him, but the fact is they didnt. and they where reigning champs alongside him at smw. of course he would've got credit for beating them both.

Uhmmm.. They were both pretty boring fighters. I've watched both their highlight videos back to back and it almost put me to sleep. By comparison, Roy Jones Junior was much, much, much (to infinity and beyond) more exciting than both guys put together.

hopkins feasted on lighter fighters but everytime he had a match for him at his own weight he lost - which is **** poor.

Unless you think Joe Calzaghe is really an American trapped in a Welsh body and is secretly biased against Joe Calzaghe.

Often times the simplest answer is the best one. No brainwashing conspiracy theories, no need to bend over backwards to cast Joe's resume and opposition in a favorable light.

Simply put, Joe Calzaghe was a terrific fighter who remains largely unproven because of less than stellar opposition. He went undefeated, and while that is commendable and an impressive feat, it must be noted that his level of opposition was not particularly impressive for a fighter of his calibre and potential.
