How about Pac/ Cotto didn't even get a 24/7 series??? There fight wasn't nearly hyped enough, and this fight was overhyped.

yup, i think this got more hype than cotto-pac. that being said both got the big un: 24/7. they likely did comparable numbers, with comparable co-draws, and in the end, they're comparable draws themselves. i put cotto and mosley around the same place in terms of drawing power. with mosley/mayweather getting only slightly more publicity, we can probably make head to head conclusions based on the numbers pulled being that the two other factors (co-stars and advertising) were roughly equal in the end, they both pulled about the same. pac and floyd are on par and should get 50/50. end of

Oh I totally agree with this. They're both mega-stars and draws, just split it down the ****ing middle and make it happen. I just find it funny that Floyd, who is supposedly the "cash cow", couldn't do higher numbers than Pac given the promotional push from Golden Boy.
I wouldn't say that....but it definitely indicates that Floyd and Manny are on level with regards to their US popularity and drawing power. 1.2 Million PPV buys is NOT bad. But with Richard and Golden Boy stating 3 Mill or more....that was WAAAAAY off.
It tells you what an impact Oscar had back in the day, not PBF. If 1.2 is really it and it did worse than Cotto vs Pac, this will bring PBF back to reality. There is just a bigger following for Pac each time out. Well, PBF too. I don't know what the Clottey fight did, but it really doesn't matter. Let's not see them fight to see how much they make, lets see them fight in the ring. Now that will most definitely make as much or more than the Oscar vs PBF fight.
