Well that Shogun showed up vs Liddell but it was considered more of how far Liddell had fell and Shogun dominated Machida in October but got nothing to show for it. Shogun improved his cardio with a new trainer, the injuries are repaired and there is no rust anymore.
He was more aggressive tonight than the last time and it paid off. I'm glad he won by knockout cuz i didn't want this fight to end in another controversy. Great win by shogun.. now who's next?
Well theres alot of options out there. Anderson Silva if he gets past Sonnen would be a Superfight, Couture could be made hopefully not as he doesnt deserve it at the moment, Rampage-Rashad winner honestly id rather neither get that fight, Lil Nogueira maybe agian ? I fully expect it to be Rampage though I think he knocks out Rashad and he was the # 1 contender before his "retirement". Cant see much changing in his Thai defense to stop Shogun from nearly killing him agian.
True. He was definitely not top shape when he enter the UFC with those injuries and bad cardio. Good to see he can still fight at top level. No shame in losing to a great fighter like him.

Couture is done. He was a great fighter but he is just too old to hang with shogun. Well if Rampage wins well I guess they will just say well the first bout was over 5 years ago. Remember pal this is a company that made Rampage-Silva III after being KTFO twice and he did win the 3rd so they can justifiy it on that. Id hate to see a Rashad fight to actually he doesnt have leg kick defense and if you time that head movement which Shogun cleary would I think he knocks his block off. Imagine Shogun fighting Rashad in the deep trouble Thiago Silva had Rashad in. Can you say MURDER ?
I think Couture gives Shogun more trouble then a Rampage-Rashad winner. Couture is the right guy to test Shogun's cardio and see if there is an issues remaining. Not saying I want it but if Couture winds up with a undeserved title shot I think style wise he could possibly pull one out if he uses his Greco Wrestling. I think Lil Nog would also be a tougher fight but your right he needs some quality wins in the UFC Forrest would have been enough for Brilz and the one guy I cant remember his name just arent enough. Shogun-Anderson would be the best fight in MMA but im not counting on it. Anderson has a tough fight with Sonnen which he could lose or been terribly boring and be cut or have to fight more Middleweights like maybe Vitor. Also he might ***** about having to fight a former training partner it wouldnt be the first time.
I think rashad would fight smart against shogun and used his wrestling. I'm sure he would not want any part of shogun and his deadly muay thai. I still think shogun would win this fight cuz it would be hard to keep him down for 5 rounds. At some point of the fight this will become a striking match where shogun would defenitely destroy evans.
Agreed he wont finish Shogun so there will be at the very least there is the start of every round and im sorry I cant see how he makes it out of there with Shogun. Rashad doesnt have a great chin which IMO leads Rampage to keeping this fight on his feet and knocking Rashad clean out like he says. So in my eyes a Shogun fight wont be needed.
I have no problem watching Shogun dismantle Rashad. I would enjoy it. But Rashad is still a good fighter and would make the fight interesting.
who seriously expected to see Machida Ko'd like that it was crazy to see him get dismantled when he has barley ever really been hurt before.
No one saw this coming. I think everyone was expecting a close fight like the first one. Shogun really made Machida look easy to beat. Totally shock. Edit: Actually the first fight was not that close, Shogun did get rob I admit.
I predicted Shogun to win by TKO in 3. I felt he was be a bit more aggressive and break Machida down. A brutal first round KO was not expected though it never ran across my mine. Machida always makes that jump with his knees but I didnt expect Shogun to be able to time it and counter with one big right hand like that.
