It's the Internet, don't blame Max for this reply. He knew somebody had to slip in with it eventually and it might as well be him.

    I think CrossTrainer beat him.

Oh, you're right. But I subconsciously block out Rick Astley avatars, so I missed it. Max probably also has the same psychological quirk.

Riddick Bowe after the Holyfield triology. Bowes Prime was very bright but kind of short.

    Holyfield against Czyz.

    Then Holyfield against Bean.

    Then Holyfield against Ruiz I.

    Then Holyfield against Toney.

Jeez, Holyfield aged overnight about a million times now that I think about it. And yet he's still there fighting

He's three hundred and seven. But he can still kick Botha's ass.

It is true Marvelous began showing signs of slippage against Mugabi. In fact, Leonard is charged with challenging Hagler for this very reason.

But the fact remains that Hagler turned back a young, hungry, powerful number-one ranked 26-0 challenger whom no one had ever gone the distance with.

Leonard had been retired for almost 3 years, his last fight had been a near-debacle against humble opposition, was over 5 years removed from a great performance, and had a surgically repaired right eye.

No one recognized Marvelous that night. It seemed he was sleepwalking, or even throwing the fight.

It was an immeasurable overnight decline and -disappointment notwithstanding- the fact is Marvin never fought again.

Well, because it would seem impossible that Hagler would have been doing it on purpose, my brother and I both said he must have just become an old fighter overnight. Thinking back though I know what you mean, I can still see the shots and its hard to believe Marvin was that shot. I don't know what to say.

Man I remember watching that fight. Mullings really cost Norris a ton of money. I felt Norris was slipping before that and when Mullings came out in his army fatigues, and looked pretty focused, I had this weird feeling he was going to beat Norris.
