He wouldn't be and certainly isn't. But the thought of jumping out of a fighter, any fighter, literally jumping out the ring and acting like he got shot when landing pretty softly (and I think Steward was trying to hint at something when he had said that athletes/boxers are usually flexible enough to shake off a small fall like that) is a little extreme. Even dumber than the average look for a way out. It even tops his throwing himself to the ground in the Margarito fight.
IntentionalButt, whether or not Cintron dove out of the ring on purpose is up for debate, but what isn't up for debate is that 99% of other boxers at this level would have jumped back up, brushed themselves off, and resumed combat.
For starters there were some here asking for tidbits about what kind of person Kermit "The Frog" was. Second, I have experienced something similar in personality to what Conditioner101 has in Kermit in my own life, though not in boxing just in "Life". Sorry about the bad experiences you had with him. Like I said I had something similar happen to me. That person was family, and it broke my heart so I can understand feeling the way you do about it. I think we can certainly draw conclusions with Cintron as to what is inside as far as a 'Warrior' is concerned. I use the term lightly. I for one appreciate you speaking on it. Thanks again!:happy
Haha dude you really suck at talking ****. Go tell your worthless ***** of a mother the dumbest thing she ever did was decide to give birth to you. And **** your father for not being smart enough to read the instructions on the condom. I hope you're at least smart enough to do that. Now **** off.
Oh yeah, he's a delicate little tulip. No doubt. I just doubt that he's mentally ******ed or insane, which would be the prerequisites to do what he's accused of doing. Suckas be underestimating the powers of forward momentum, and how clumsy and unsure of foot three rounds of boxing and moving (not to mention eating two big left hands) can set a man up to be once his equilibrium is messed with. Kermit was never exactly Joe Gans with his footwork.
Being brave over the internet has nothing to do with being tough. The bottom line is that people that really are tough don't act the way you do. A person secure in themselves would have simply disagreed with me, stated there opinion, and moved on. I have no issue with anyone who disagrees with me. Nor would I judge anyone for doing so. The manner in which you do so reveals a lot about your character. Loud mouth tough guy behind the security of his computer screen. Do I want to drive to the Bronx to kick the **** out of someone with no boxing experience, andis half my size? Nope! Will I kick the **** out of someone that drives down to confront me, and insult me face to face. ABSOLUTELY. As for being Mr. Websters Dictionary? I am sorry that you need a dictionary to spell simple words, and use them in the proper context. Is being dumb part of being tough in the Bronx? If so then you are a badass! Oh yeah... are you one of those guys that thinks being from NY makes you a tough guy? Oh brother you have a lot to learn.
Who knows. After the multi layered **** storm of a fight with Martinez, Im hard pressed to give him the benefit of the doubt. If there really is a rematch, I guess we'll see.
@ whoever corrected me on being annoyed at the "pics or stfu" as the guy's 1st post (Sorry, I can't find the original post.) --- I think you're right and the guy wanted pics of the woman who's breasts and booty Kermit wanted to check up on. Still a bizarre request and definitely the wrong way to start out on ESB... or, actually, it might be the right way to go on the General forum (of any site but this one). @ Hyland, et all --- You're distracting us from Story Time. Even if you think it's bitter & fictional (which it's not), get your own cottage cheese or hot cocoa or whatever and enjoy. Since you're getting a little obsessive about this, I'm 6'2" and boxed at 118 - 135 and wrestled at 130 - 145 (military has a weird weight system) before my injuries. Happy now? @ the general leaps of faith --- I'm going to be an ass and not rewatch it in slo-mo, as I type this. My take was that Kermit leaned on Paul with too much weight, hoping to cause a slip... which he did and not only did his momentum from being an idiot keep going, but he may have been trying to get away from a possible left counter, then tried to jump back into position in particularly idiotic fashion. That much stupidity all at once is why he missed the pool of water and wasn't rewarded with a fish.
That's the thing. I don't like him. I'm just being extra aware of that bias, and taking extra self-conscious care to give him the benefit of the doubt and not get sucked into a torch-mob mentality. Looking at is as objectively as I can, the whole fall was an accident. People saying Williams tripped him on purpose seem equally silly to me as people saying he jumped out of the ring- no more or less. He is a ***** for not springing up and saying "Put me back in!" or taking the 5 minutes and then doing the same. Unless we get reports later tonight or tomorrow morning that he had a CAT scan and there's some serious **** wrong - in which case we'll all feel pretty stupid.
Not that it matters. People are pissed off at Kermit Cintron not because he potentially jumped out of a Boxing ring, but because he over-exaggerated it's effects resulting in a premature ending to what could have been a thoroughly entertaining night of fighting. People paid good money to watch 12 rounds of action, but instead they got three and a half rounds of mostly posing. He didn't get up when he could have done, and watching the footage repeatedly only confirms that.
OK. Well then that was a whole lot of unnecessary drama, then. He's a *****. I still don't think he jumped. :yep
That's the real issue here. :good Do you think he knew that California's weird commission allows it to go to the cards after completion of three rounds, and that this influenced how long he stayed down in the same prone position (and later saying he wanted to continue only after already on a gurney)? :think That's not too far-fetched a conspiracy theory. In fact, that seems like the type of shady **** that I wouldn't put past any boxer or his camp (particularly one with a known penchant for weaseling out of tight spots). Jumping, too far-fetched for me. Acting hurt to force a TD knowing he was leading on the cards and would get the win - that I can buy.
