hey Patrick, have you ever listened to 'on the ropes' boxing radio show from the USA?
the hosts come on the show half drunk, argue with one another , even swearing and yelling .
    Callers call in swearing too.
Your show seems so much more professional when you compare yours and theirs.

Are they the guys who called up floyd and had a yelling match on air? Although I agreed with some of the Issues they brought up it was unprofessional.

I'm not sure, but Rugged Man was the 1 that spoke to Floyd on the radio, and really gave it to him.
That was a different radio show though.

    Thanks Ranser.

I have tuned into On The Ropes and they have a markedly different approach to ours.

We have built our show on the total respect principle in which every fighter that has laced up a glove is treated like a warrior that deserves to have their story heard.

Thus we have no swearing and no shock jock nailing of guys but that works in America.

We also cover a lot more historical content as opposed to a straight boxing current news show.

Your on the right track there DSS, no matter how dull our domestic scene can get at times, we will always have a rich history of boxing

    Thanks Bushboy.

Australian boxing history is rich with stories.

If you read the history of Ron Richards they call his 10 fight series with Fred Hennebery the most hate filled in Australias history and that there was genuine enmity between the 2.

Then we hear that Fred was a pall bearer at Rons funeral and financially contributed to the costs of the funeral and headstone.

Then Alan Moore tells us that Fred used to put money on himself against Ron and if he couldnt see himself winning would commit fouls to DQ himself (all bets were returned in the event of a DQ). So those foul filled spiteful bouts seemed likely to be Fred simply trying to get his money back.
