WTF?! Golden Boy predicted 3m+ ppv buys for Mosley-Floyd and got only 1.1-1.2m! So...

Actually im on neither a ******* or ***** (although i think May will win). However in Pacs defense he has gotten even bigger after beating Oscar,Hatton,Cotto and recently Clottey even the non boxing fans know of Pac. Before Pac was only known with boxing fans, now he has the general publics intrest and has more fans than Floyd.

A quick search showed the cheapest to be $50. Cheapest Floyd-JMM tickets appeared to be $150. Cheapest Pac-Cotto tickets appeared to be $150 also. Not sure about the amount of nosebleeds though.

Praise Floyd for looking fast against softer opposition and almost being knocked out by a Mosley who had little on his punches compared to 18 months ago.
How could you possibly buy a mayweather fight ever again if it is not against Manny.
He relies on throwing one punch at a time. That can only be done against hand picked opponents. He will never face Manny. Pray to god he does not if you are a Mayweather fan because your glory days will end once and for all if he does.

I think 'cause a lot of people thought it was a circus freak show and found it ridiculous.
Immediately after the fight and months later people found out Pac isn't the small and light midget they thought he was.

Pac vs Floyd will do HUGE numbers imo.

 

Something interesting I was thinking about was, what if the Mayweather/Mosley fight happened prior to the Pac/Clottey fight?

It was quite obvious that fighting after a Pacquiao win only helped the May/Mosley numbers. So I can't help but imagine how the numbers would have been effected if Pacquiao hadn't already fought (and won). And vice versa. I wonder how many more buys would have been generated for Pacquiao if he had the luxury of fighting after a Mayweather victory.

Pac/Clottey didn't need a 24/7 or anything like that.... it got a **** load of coverage from the May/Pac controversy.

 

So, on the flipside why did May/Mosely need it? Wouldn't that of befitted from the Pac/May controversy as well?

It probably did to an extent. Clottey/Pac was announced right in the middle of nowhere during the negotiations for Pac/May, and it was a much fresher fight. Just giving some insight... 50/50 is the way to go, tho.
