that's what happens when you get overanxious when you land a punch and gas yourself the **** out. He played himself... then he got like oscar didn't want to throw jabs or initiate any type of control.... he was just trying not to get hit with the speedy punches and was praying for an opening.

Yeah - They contract for 145 and then come in 147...

Eat a dick Mayweather - if you didn't retire you'd be the fighter of the decade.

The difference here is that Pac went out and earned it. Funny how earning stuff adds to your legacy.

The only reason Floyd wasn't named fighter of the decade is that he runs his mouth and has no respect for the Ring title anyway. Anyone doubting he is the fighter of the year when he's practically been P4P #1 the entire time, never been defeated and been seen as "The best in the world" at any weight he's at.

Pacquaio isn't best in the world at 140, let alone 147.

Jones Jr and Floyd have similar careers really, beat everyone that gets in the ring with them and people still want to act like it's not talent.

Who denies Floyd's talent? I mean seriously, everyone knows how talented he is.

People have a problem with how he runs his mouth and his opponent selection. His mouth isn't a reason to discredit what he has done, the latter definitely is (if you believe that).

these joyboys doesn't get it. it's not even pure talent or skills that pac gets him the accolade. it's the accomplishments and resume that he surpassed floyd with even lesser comparable talent. pacquiao surpasses expectations while floyd seems to not able to maximize what his talents and skills can do.

two different approach by both fighter thus pac deserves much more the fighter of the decade and floyd can only blame himself for not doing what people required him based on his talent.

mayweather beats everyone he is supposed to have trouble with decisively...so ur basically saying that because floyd chose to go after more lucrative fights that he doesnt deserve it...but essentially his talents surpass mannys right?

its funny because who was p4p #1 pre pac dlh and pre mayweather retiring in 2008....it was may

no one has his talent so it doesnt matter who he fights....

why didnt pac fight mosley? the #1 welter and p4p #1 campaigning at welter...?

pac isnt fighting every number 1 out there..that argument is bs..and floyd after defeating odlh became a full fledge prize fighter....he is not gonna fight someone who brings nothing to the table....

Pac - 7 division world champ, 4 linal titles
    Notable wins
    Barrera @125 (KO)
Barrera @130 (UD) *coming off loss to Marquez
Morales @130 (KO) *coming off loss to Raheem at 135
    Morales @130 (KO)
Marquez @125 (D) *would be a win if not for a judging error
    Marquez @130 (SD)
    DLH @147 (TKO)
    Hatton @140 (KO)
    Cotto @145 (KO)

Mayweather - 5 division world champ, 3 lineal titles, undefeated
    Notable wins
    Corrales @130 (KO)
    Castillo @135 (UD)
    Castillo @135 (UD)
Judah @147 (UD) *coming of loss to Baldomir
    DLH @154 (SD)
    Hatton @147 (KO)
Marquez @144 (UD) *Mayweather 2 lbs over limit
    Mosley @147 (UD)

Can't see how Mayweather's resume is even better, imo Pac has the more impressive wins. The fact he retired at a critical time in the decade (when Pac was making history) instead of facing the likes of Margarito, Cotto, P.Williams, Mosley, he loses the right to complain.

i don't believe that floyd's talents and skills surpasses pac but this is what many regards and i would like it to continue that way so that if pac wins, pac would have pulled a very big upset in many peoples eyes.

pac did not fight mosley but he fought cotto who was #2 at welter that time. besides, cotto has a win over mosley and is on his prime so it is as big a pac-mosley is if not bigger. pac fought hatton who was #1 at 140. fought cotto who was #2 at the time and clottey who was #4 or #5 at the time at welter. diaz was a top 4 at lightweight when pac beat him and jmm was the #2 just behind him when pac fought him.

you can nitpick pac's resume but it would not make floyd's resume better.

I don't know why Floyd is hating on Pac so much. I thought awards like that didn't mean **** to him as long as he was making his money. He could have got that award too, he could have cleaned up 147 years ago, and fought Pacquiao by now.
