According to Cintron, the fall knocked the wind out of him. If you get the wind knocked out of you, and the the doctor runs up to you, asks what's wrong, and you say, "I'm completely out of breath" and the doctor says, "you might have punctured your lung. Stay down", it's likely that you're going to believe him and do what he says, especially if you've never felt that before.

Again, however you feel about Cintron based on folding when the going gets tough, the going didn't get ANYWHERE. There wouldn't have been a reason for him to decide in a quarter of a second that he'd rather take his chances with a NC than press his advantage against a top 10 P4P fighter he was doing very well against. I could possibly see that conspiracy flying if he was in the middle of taking a beating and pretended to fall through the ropes while backing up. But on an exchange where's HE'S the aggressor and pursuing Williams? No way.

Please do so. Doug Fisher enabled Edwin Valero and what he did, you are enabling Cintron's cowardice. And your mailbag repsonses are garbage. Only read one and it was a painful read.

    How so?

Has Cintron divulged personal insults and accusations toward C101?

I certainly would not intentionally dive head first towards the hard floor from 4 feet high. It looked similar to suffering a whiplash injury from a car crash. If your head snaps back like that, it's very hard to recover from. Also, his shoulder looked to be in bad shape afterwards. Totally true what you said about having a split second to decide a lot of things. All that would be on my mind at that point would be damage limitation and "ooohhhhhhh ****!"

I have no idea if he was using something illegal in his wraps against Kermit. What I do know is that When Kermit went down it was not because he was hurt. It was because he was beaten mentally. He lost his will to fight hard. I have been ringside for all Kermits fights, and every round he has sparred. I have only seen him visibly shook once, and that was in sparring before the 1st Margarito fight. Archak TerMeliksetian buckled his legs for a split second when they were exchanging hooks. Archak's was shorter and got there first. Kermit walked into it face first. That was the only time I saw him really hurt. Even when Martinez caught him he didn't go down for any other reason then by his own choice. He took a knee. Once again looking for a way out. I am sure most people will disagree with me based on his performances, but it is the truth. I would love to be able to say he was dropped and hurt. It's just not the case. The fact of the matter is he has a great chin. It's never been his chin that let him down. It has always been his fighting spirit that failed him.

He would be nothing had Marshall and I not paved the way for him to pursue his career. What did we do? We took a kid of 19 yrs old that had never boxed in his life, and guided him to an undefeated record, a WBO & NABF title, and a multi-million dollar contract in less then 5 yrs. I consider that quite an accomplishment.
As for steroids... I do not drink, smoke, or do drugs of any kind. Never have, and never will.

He also seemed to do nothing with his hands/arms to grab ropes, or break his fall. Come on now, these are world class athletes.

Somethings awfully fishy...uh, froggy going on.

Well I hope the day never comes where you invest your heart and soul into someone, and that person in return turns on you. Sour grapes? Definitely. Why? Because instead of taking responsibility for the Margarito loss he decided to point fingers at everyone but the person who was responsible for his performance. All he had to do was look in the mirror. the facts are that there was a time when Kermit lived and breathed boxing, and that enabled him to overcome a late late start in boxing, and a lack of real fighting spirit. he chose to listen to his gf, and took shortcuts in preparation for Margarito. We were there to do our job and then some just like we always were from day one when he was fighting in hotel ballrooms. If there was any character in Kermit what so ever he would have looked at what happened and rededicated himself to his career, his team, and boxing. He chose to take the easy way out like he always does, and blamed us. Hey if I ****ed up, or I reached a point where he needed something I couldn't provide i would have found someone that could give him what he needed. For 24 fights our formula worked. The only time it didn't was when Kermit changed it.

Conditioner; I will agree I have watched many of Kermits fights and I agree he loses concentration or just plan out melts down. He may be very well be a waste of great talent. and it's a shame it's all in his mind

He may not have done it here, but he has done it in the local news, newspaper, many interviews on different boxing sites, and to people both know. It was really nice to receive a call from his ex gf telling me that kermit blamed his poor treatment of her on me by telling her that I had been feeding him steroids the whole time. if he is telling her things like that then I hate to even imagine what he says to other people in the boxing world.
I wish Julian Letterlough were alive to tell you what I was like to work with, and how I treated him as a fighter and friend. Same for Jeremy Stauffer. I put the same effort into them that I did for Kermit. I got nothing in return from them because at that time there was know money. My only condition being that they pay me with effort and commitment. They did. I would rather spend the rest of my life working with guys like that for free then getting paid to work with people like Kermit. Also in case anyone is wondering I spent far far more money on Kermit then I ever made. It was never about money. Money would have been the icing on the cake. At one time the ride was great. we had a lot of good times, and it was money that was one of the ingredients that began to reveal the real Kermit Cintron.
