next opponent is very disappointing. he is suppose to be our next best heavy prospect but we're still waiting for him to step up to the next level. surely he is more than capable of beating some handy boxers. i know its not easy to organise these fights but i wish some of these guys would stop wasting their prime years. agree or not?
I havent seen the next opponent but I'm guessing its just a warm body to keep him in ring shape until they can secure a firm test for him. Leapai presents the age old problem of being a big risk for little reward to any overseas opponents. With a bit of luck Noel Thornberry can get him a good fight.
On the balance of it, Aus fighters are worse than any other nations in terms of not stepping it up. People's records are littered with blown up Thais at the lower weights, and random islanders at the higher weights. It's a bit of a travesty really, as you never get to find out how decent a lot of the fighters are because they're so happy not testing themselves.
Hard not to, even though he's fought some good opponents years ago, at lighter weights. Not sure what the guy's done over the past 10 years other than get older and put on a stack of pounds? Will be interesting to see what his waistline looks like on fight night. Hope Alex KO's him gently.
Some decent things are in the pipeline for Leapai. Hopefully they come off. The truth of the matter is that many simply don't want to know about facing him. You've got to keep him ticking over.
Come on Ipp' if thats the case then why don't he move to Europe if he's being realistic about World Honours ? he knows the C R A C K plenty would fight him up top .
Because he's got a family here in Oz. It's far easier saying someone should relocate, but the process is near impossible. Hard to imagine a Samoan settling in nicely in sunny Europe
Well he's ****ed then and will remain fighting 40 year old blokes that aint fought for donkeys years , plenty of Samoan's earning money in the UK playing Rugby , buy a sweater aye ? lol
