Yes Marshall watched the hands get wrapped. I am confident that it is something Marshall would have caught. As I stated earlier Margarito never hurt Kermit physically. He took his will, and his body cooperated.
I have a hard time believing that Cintron dived out of the ring on purpose. He was in the fight, arguably even winning it.
I'm sure you're aware that you're not the first trainer this has happened too........Boxing is full of stories like yours. When a fighter suffers a defeat, its common that the last person they will blame is themselves. You saw mental weaknesses in Cintron's game, I would hope that you told him man to man what your thoughts were of these weaknesses when you were witnessing them, and did'nt wait until you were dismissed to offer them. You saw these weaknesses in Cintron, and I've seen many of them as well as a fightfan watching him. .....but of course the fighter will blame himself last. I'm sure Cintron feels the core of people who were there in his early career have taken him as far as they can, and its time to move on. Dont know the particulars of your case, but in many instances the fighter is right in making a move to something different and see what somebody else has to offer as far as teaching. Somebody who is loyal is to be admired, but in this world most make the move that benefits themself. Its human nature. Just my opinion, but I've helped and invested my time with certain individuals throughout life that needed my help. If I did'nt have a pre-aranged agreement with them, I expected nothing in return, but was thankful when one was provided. If you live by that code, you can save yourself alot of grief. Obviously I'm not prevy to your whole story with Cintron, but from someone on the outside looking in just having read only your thoughts on this thread.......move on my friend. You only do yourself a disservice by sullying yourself in an attempt to discredit Cintron, and it may not be the case, but you are the one that ends up looking like someone who's spilling sour grapes.
Alot of Margarito haters would'nt be happy to hear that. The first Cintron fight took place in Vegas, so you know the Commision provided the fighter with all the materials needed for the wrapping session.....which was not the case in California for Margarito-Mosley.
C101 - this in is very interesting. I'm assuming that you did not provide him with any illegal substances. Given the current climate and the spotlight of PED use in the boxing today, don't you find particularly weird that he would use steroid use as an excuse for his behavior especially if he wasn't using to begin with?
STFU! Hes doing three very GREAT things. 1. Hes ("allegedly") exposing a guy we all know is a fraud, who has wasted our times watching him, even the poor people who paid their hard-earned money on tickets numerous times. We expected to see a warrior, not a clown. Then again, I don't know about you. EVERYONE needs to get what's coming to them. 2. He's started a TREMENDOUS thread that's teaching us ( at least those who are willing to learn from it) heaps of lessons and life strategies. I say "he" started it because he transformed this thread when he decided to post his heart out in here. Regardless of wether or not it's all true. I believe 99% of it is BTW. 3. If nothing else, it's giving a bunch of bored ****s something to think about. Including you, *******. Conditioner, I'm going to send you a PM. I have a personal question for you that I would greatly appreciate if you would aknowledge, but it's ok if you don't, as I'm sure you're getting lots right now.
I have more than a few sources who claim that that is not the case in Nevada as Arum claims in the Cotto/Margarito fight.
Yet you fail to offer even one? ......and btw, it was'nt Arum who first said that Nevada provides the fighters wrapping material, it was the head of the Nevada commision who brought that up when he was asked what made him so sure that Margarito did'nt cheat in his jurisdiction.
well i said this on an other thread which was that there was no gang way on the ring. most rings have a bit of extra canvas but this one just went from ring to desk. i think he was gonna roll over the last rope, land on that last bit of ring, get up and waste some time. he's done this type of things before. like in estrada fight he walked around the ring a bit when the ref broke the action. it's like saying clottey was seriously hurt when cotto lifted him and dropped him. he wasn't but he wanted some time for himself. clottey isn't a puss when i said he leapt it wasn't that he wanted too get out the ring and quit. just get some time for himself, which is also why i said that he misjudged his landing and fell head first. i have nothing against cintron. i joke that he quit and flew out of the ring to get away from a fight that he was arguably winning. but that isnt the case. and when he was on the floor i have no doubts that he was hurt so
Joe, the thing is.. I think Margarito ALWAYS beats Cintron.. no matter what, it's a bad match-up for Kermit. He might have quit fighting, but not until after he got his ass beat down.
