Chavez was great but he drops a few to Canzonari in a series, they may split a few...Tony was tough, could box and punch...this would be a war

To heat it a bit up. I will say I take Canzoneri would take a three fight seriers in every weight class.

Your just mad cause more people are picking Chavez.:D Canzoneri was an ATG with a lot of great wins on his record, however ive seen a lot of film on him and i dont see him doing anything that would overwhelm Chavez. JCs resume was just as good, maybe not as far as quantity atgs, but his long dominance over the best his division had to offer was great and kind of evens that out, and we had this debate not too long ago so, im not gonna bother posting all his accolades cause you then might just call Chavez a titilist and not a champion:patsch Chavez takes him at every weight, however Canzoneri has a shot at 130 since although Chavez was great he still hadnt peaked yet.

    CHAVEZ!!! 3-0!!!:bbb

Well i was kind of on my way to doing that but you got deaf all of a sudden when no one agreed with you remember . Canzoneri would have took an earlier lead but, Chavez would have gotten his rythym going and started to land with accurate shots, punches coming every from every angle, Canzoneri would respect Chavez ferocity holding his own but would realize this might not be wise. Canzoneri would then start giving him a more movement he would score well at times but So would Chavez and the fight would be real close going into the late rounds, but Chavez stronger and more accurate shots have taken their toll more so on Canzoneri. Chavez just a little greater and would win a close but convincing decision, with Canzoneris face being a brutal mess at the end. Bottom line he Can slug with Chavez but only for so long, He can box Chavez but he definitely wouldnt put no clinic onhe was a great boxer but style wise no Whittaker and notthe speed demon Taylor was. Chavez could be outsped but not for long only a freakishly fast Taylor or super slippery Whittaker could outland Chavez like that. Bottom line Chavez harder punches overall swing the bout in his momentum ,everything Canzoneri does with success only last so long and by the end its Chavez whos puttiing the punishment on. Chavez 8-6-1.

    Some food for your brain:
Canzoneri beat Ambers twice who was as ferocious as Chavez - and a more proven lightweight. An indication how Tony would do against Julio?
Canzoneri was the only one to KO Berg, who is an atg himself. Has Chavez done something similar? I don´t think Chavez is a harder puncher.

No way Canzoneri was a harder puncher :nono Canzoneri had respectable power but far from a ko artist, and never considered a puncher on Chavezs level. You could sit here and nit pick Canzoneris record all day and thats not gonna convince me or many others, So yey Ambers was ferocious and Canzoneri beat him dont mean he can handle Chavez, he also loss to Johnny Jadick,Chuck Woods,Harry Dublinsky not exactly Whittaker,Delahoya. Im not trying to act ignorant here about Canzoneri cause im well aware of his career accomplishments, fighting style, etc etc, but you seem to pick and choose out of boxing records just to make your argument sound better. Also you were wrong about Berg who was kod by Billy Petrolle and 7 other guys after Canzoneri.
