Kermit Cintron recovering from ring fall Despite his failed attempts to be the first boxer to take flight, Kermit Cintron has been released from hospital without any problems. The 30-year old Puerto Rican was stretchered off and taken to hospital having fallen out the ring and landed on a table in his fight with Paul Williams in Los Angeles on Saturday. At first “The Killer” wanted to fight on, however he didn’t look in a good way and the doctors decided to cart him off to hospital to be on the safe side. Leaving a confused Paul Williams all alone in the ring. It was thought at first that Cintron had smashed his head and sustained neck and shoulder damage. His neck put in a brace and he was very gingerly moved from the Home Deport Centre. He would have heard the decision as he was loaded into the back of an ambulance and taken to hospital. However after all that it seems that the only injuries Cintron suffered was having the wind knocked out of him and a bruised ego. He was released around 1.28am local time and was already bemoaning the decision and claiming he won the fight as he left the hospital. He later said: "I was winning the whole entire fight. I don't understand. Doctors, they don't really know boxing. I was fighting the perfect fight of my life against Paul Williams and they took the fight away from me. "I'm disgusted with the whole situation. I told Josh (Dubin, his manager) that they need to look at a tape and do something to reverse the decision. I know I won the fight. If they don't reverse the decision, I think I'm done fighting. "
I may be in the minority here but... I had him up 2-1 going into the 4th and thjought if the fight went on that he would have won the fight. He had Paul confused and it was a matter of time before he caught Paul with something big and wobbled him.
He was up on my scorecard, but how did Paul actually deserve a loss in there? He did buckle Pauls legs, but when Paul turned it up he jumped out the ****ing ring. This was a 12 round fight, you don't do 4 rounds then jump out the ring and claim victory. Maybe Shane Mosley should've jumped the hell out the ring in the third round against Floyd. :rofl
I thought Cintron won the first two rounds. The fight really should be changed to a no-contest - but it won't happen. According to California state rules - it is a perfectly legal outcome.
There's only one fight I want to see right now involving Cintron, and thats against Margarito IN MEXICO. So they can sing PUTO as Kermit is breaking down emotionally and physically.
Cintron is a joke. Most people can see right through this clown. If they reverse this decision then they need to go change his draw with Martinez to a 7rd KO. Hopefully he is telling the truth about leaving boxing. We should never have are time wasted by this scum bag ever again.
