He's clearly greater than Tommy Hearns, Joe Gans, Joe Louis, Julio Cesar Chavez, Barney Ross, etc.

 

Top 30 at this point in his career. If he beats PBF, top 20. 7 belts in 7 weights, pretty special whatever way you look at it no? Not sure i understand how people can score him outside the top 50 with that record

 

If Pac is top 40 then Floyd is beyond 50 ....

He is defitely higher than Galaxy, and some have him as the greatest Asian fighter of all time, so is higher than Fighting Harada.

Top 30 most probably since Harada is already number 32.

There was a debate as to had better resume between Pac and Harada and at some point, Pac surpassed Harada.

 

Pernell Whitaker number 10??? wtf hell no. Should be around the 25 mark for Whitaker/

 

He is top 100 for sure that top 50 list by Luke seems hard for him to crack 7 in 7 is nice but only 4 of them were really all that impressive at lightweight he picked the weak link and moved up with 1 fight. Cotto he made fight at a catch weight but got the belt. At 140 he fought once has not defended plus Hatton looked awful vs Lazcano. His work at 130 and down is sensational though. He can get HOF just for his work at the little weights of the 7 weights hes not really atg top 5 i mean at welter light jr welter is he really top 5 all time he grabbed a buncha belts but never really cleaned divisions or became the man

 

Whoever has this dude top 10 obviously does not know boxing.

 

Outside the Top 50. Not an option. At best, i would put him in the 45-50 range right now, and that is pushing it.

Pac is miles above Void "The Roid" Mayweather.

 

Marco Antonio Barrera - Had just beaten Naseem Hamed, Erik Morales, and Johnny Tapia and was easily the best Featherweight in the world at the time.

Ricky Hatton - Had just dominated, embarrassed Paulie Malignaggi at 140lbs, and say what you like about The Magic Man, but he's gone on to do good things against Juan Diaz. The manner in which this fight ended means it must be considered a great win for Manny, I thought Hatton was dead.

Juan Manuel Marquez - I scored the fight narrowly in favor of Marquez but it could have gone either way, and I believe Marquez to have been near his very best for the rematch at 130lbs. A great win.

Miguel Cotto - I saw absolutely no evidence...whatsoever...to suggest Cotto was a lesser fighter than the one that had fought before the Margarito fight. He was winning the rounds he was knocked down in, he was just up against a better fighter than himself. I consider this to be a great win, I never thought Manny could man handle a guy like Cotto at 147lbs.

Oscar De La Hoya - I believe there's enough evidence to suggest Oscar was in no condition to be fighting that night so I almost entirely disregard this.

Erik Morales - I'll give you that one. I don't put nearly as much stock in this victory as most others do because he had been handled by Raheem.

With that said, without evening factoring in his impressive victories over the likes of Clottey, Sasakul and Ledwaba, Manny has the best resume in Boxing today...

I rate Manny Pacquiao among the top 35-40 fighters of all time.
