FOTY at 154 no doubt. Haven't seen the fight but heard Mayorga was doing good against Shane.

I would love to see this matchup, IMO an inspired Mayorga beats Antonio Margarito any day of the week, Mayorga's resume is far superior, and has proven himself against many great fighters even though he got blown out by Tito, and De La Hoya. Margarito at any point of his career could never beat anybody in the caliber of a prime Vernon Forrest. If an old Shane Mosley was able to walk down and pound Margarito what do yall think Mayorga would do, people forget that he was giving Mosley all types of problems in their fight, he was winning 8 rounds to 4 IMo, before the hail mary.

    Mayorga KO 8.

This would be a great fight , but I hope .
Mayorga should first sticks to putting his neck out to MMA as he seems to have the cross over potential.

This fight would've been an instant classic if it had taken place back when they were both in their primes. They might've even made a trilogy out of it. Sucks that Mayo vacated the welterweight division after the loss to Cory Spinks.

If Margo gets to use his bricks then Mayorga gets to use the machete he used to use back in his gangleader days. It's only fair. :bart

First of all, what an excellent fight that would have been... Def. FOTY

The winner... Hard to say, I believe Mayorga caught Forrest of guard, styles make fights but Mayorga always was as open as Margarito and with the crazy iron jaw. Margarito beat both Cotto, Clottey and Cintron so he's been in with some top oppsition as well.
Don't mind the bricks, his jaw and will still was scary, Margarito would have gone 12 rounds with George Foreman on the night he fought Cotto!

IMO Neither man seems technically sound enough to exploit the holes in each others defense, I would really call this a pick 'em fight, perhaps with a slight edge to Mayorga since he was never a cheater and since Margarito proved absolutely nothing in his comeback.

Wow, I think this thread is about marocheater and mayorga, but what a great idea add the punto cintron into the mix so he can cry and then quit. I mean I know there's been alotta talk about PW being the the most feared man in boxing, but come on jumping head 1st outta the ring after the 1st good punch he eats is a little extreme. What if a crime happened to your family. What if your family member died b/c a cheating **** used a weapon in a fist fight.......would you give him another chance. Would you like to see this man make a **** load of $ while you mourn our dead family member. Actually, I feel really bad for anybody who is forced to share a family w/ an ******* like you.
