He is a profoundly flawed talent...much like Wlad Klitschko, but he's in a tougher division.

One of the top 8 skillsets in boxing right now. I said it. The guy has the skills to be super. He does lack a chin, but he is in the uSA being trained I expect a p4p ranking by end of 2011

Man I actually don't understand what you're trying to say. Arguably even the haters admit he's a talented guy. You must be a ****** not to see that. Yes he's got a **** chin so what? That has nothing to do with regarding his talent.

    Putting aside his chin issues.....

Khan looks better than what he is because he maintains distance, is quick, throws combination's of punches, that said he is not particularly special in terms of all-round Boxing ability, he is very naive, fights upright, has no inside game, comes in straight on the line, does not have a particularly good defense, albeit he has improved a little there, in terms of being a well rounder fighter he is not, i think that gets overlooked because he does have an exciting style.

The first part of that sound like you're describing a good boxer to me!

Have to agree on the inside game but I think he has come a long way under Roach already A lot more lateral movement, picking punches better, mixing combo's up with hooks rather than just throwing flurries of straights like he used to. He is becoming more accurate with his power punching too.

Think he has a way to go yet, but I would say he has good all-round fundamentals at the moment.

On the other hand, he's just 23, and PacMan or Bradley were nowhere near their best at that age so let's wait and see. Also, what "limited" game Khan has he uses very effectively, some can become special with less, while others remain average with more, there's no one way for success in boxing, there are many.

he's very fast,a nd that alone will cause problems for the aging fighters that some proabably expect would be tough fights for khan, but khan does have a weak chin, and that will be his krytonite on other fights. it'll be an up and down career. he'll win some very good fights, and then he'll get knocked out by someone you probably would expect khan to beat. that sort of career it'll be. i would never put money on khan because i can see him being the type that would lose you money.

He is a good boxer but i would reserve the term special talent for someone who is more well rounded, like a young Mayweather, Whitaker, now thats what i would call a special talent, guys who had the kinda talent so early in their career that they could of fought for a title after how many fights.

Khan has improved his defense a bit, he has also shown a greater variety of punches since Roach took over, that said i still think he has quite a few holes in his game, as i said he is very naive, that possibly being one of his biggest flaws besides his chin, he cant fight inside, cant fight from mid range, attacks in straight lines, fights too upright and squares himself up.

The main thing Roach has done is stop him turning his punches over as much, see Khan used to knock people out because he does have good/decent pop, however since he got knocked out he is not turning his shots over as much because he is fearful of getting countered if or when he misses with a shot, what he is doing is fighting exclusively from long range, using his height and speed and pecking away, i want to see what happens when he is back in with a puncher who will get inside his range or take that distance away from him, because even though he has improved aspects of his game some what, he still cant fight inside or at mid range and he does have those chin issues.

I think you are mistaking speed for skill, Khan has average skills.

Khan is talented no doubt but that's largely down to his phenomenal speed, your assessment of him is spot on.
