I don't think there is any question Floyd is a TOP PPV draw. The problem is he has competition in Manny for boxings P4P title along with popularity in the US. I think its pretty clear Floyd is....AS HE SHOULD BE.....more popular than Manny.

Afterall.....being a top PPV draw in the "US" is a lot easier to do when you are US BORN. Manny.....in a way is doing something pretty awesome with becoming as popular in the US as many of our top sports, entertainers or political figures.

Sure....Floyd may pull in a few more PPV buys than Manny at the moment....but it doesn't HELP GET THE FIGHT MADE! Which is what everyone wants.

Floyd is only going to make negotiations harder by demanding the lions share of the pot.....which I guess he has the right.....based on PPV buys. But is that really something Floyd should be proud of?

I mean yea...it's nice and all he can say he gets more buys and has more money......but he looses a lot of respect by the same people who are only buying his fights in hope to see him loose. That's in a way impressive....but if you think of why folks buy Manny.....the people who buy Manny fights buy the fight b/c they know it will be exciting....win, loose or draw.

And again.....Manny is from anther country...in the US he sells a little less PPVs than Floyd but there is NO question who is the bigger draw on a global scale.....and I think that in itself will force Floyd to make negotiations harder by trying to get at least "one up" on Manny.

Charlie you make some good points but man if you notice i dont post in ppv threads at all. Its a no win situation. Its all just back and forth opinions of numbers we really dont know are facts. I guess its good for blogging but i just let the crazies argue ppv numbers and i rather talk about the other stuff.
