Well, there we have it, why even make the fight? Pimp C has told us all what's going to happen. No doubt he told us all Manny would shutout and stop Oscar De La Hoya, and that Cotto would sustain two knockdowns and spend the last 3-4 rounds of the fight backpedaling before being stopped...maybe he even predicted Hatton getting knocked spark out in the second round.

What else can you tell us Pimp C...you neutral you! :yep

Pac win over Cotto = Mayweather's win over Mosley, outcome, PPV numbers, etc

There are arguments for both sides, so let's put all bias aside and agree with my above point.

As much as a Pac fan as I am, I'm really having a hard time seeing how Pac can win against. Not only does Floyd present a stylistic problem for Pac, he also presents a lot physical problems as well. One thing I noticed in the fight with Mosley was how strong Floyd looked. He was definitely smaller than Shane but Floyd has really grown into the welterweight division. He also has a huge reach advantage over Pac, so if the fight is done at a distance, that reach advantage would come into play big time (i keep remembering the Marquez fight where all Floyd had to do was lean back a little bit and Marquez's punches would fall so short of the target). If the fight is fought on the inside, then Floyd's physical strength would come into play again. Just from the onset, I feel like Floyd's physical advantages push the fight from very tough for Pac to almost unwinnable. At the skill level both fighters are operating at, every advantage counts for so much more, and it looks like Floyd has most of them.

But at the same time, I really believe that at 147 and below, no one has a better chance than Pac. Despite the physical and stylistic disadvantages of Pac, he brings a lot of fascinating intangibles into the fight. He's a southpaw who fights in a very unconventional manner. For a fighter like Floyd who is extremely well schooled in the art of boxing, I can't help but think that maybe Pac's unpredictable and eccentric style might prove to be difficult for Floyd to decipher. I think a lot of Floyd's defense relies on reflexes, instincts and muscle memory developed over the thousands of hours of training. Pac doesn't punch the way other fighters punch and it's not hard to picture floyd's head moving the wrong way from a punch that normally comes from one direction but with Pac will come from another.

We all now Pac loves to fight, someone who has a "bring it!" attitude whenever he gets hit, so I doubt he'll get gun shy (like Mosley) and will still be able to maintain his high work rate even if he gets tagged cleanly by the counters that Floyd is sure to land. Pac definitely won't tire himself by being so tense like Mosley was, Pac belongs inside the ring and we all know it, he's relaxed and in his element every time he steps into the ring so I doubt Mayweather's mind games will get to him.

Now those are all intangibles and they may not actually figure into the fight all that much, but on the flipside, they may prove to be extremely important as well. That's why it's so fascinating and I would love to see the fight just to see how much a factor these intangibles are even though I'm pretty sure Pac would lose.

:rofl:lol: Fool Mosley would have struggled with PBF at any point in his career and that includes 135.

People like you contine to say dumb **** like whilrwind. How many times does it have to be said Pac won't throw half as many punches that he normally does against PBF and he will land even fewer. Check everyone's punch output numbers and their connect % numbers when they fight PBF. You love to leave this out as if it means nothing. You constantly bringing it up as if it means something shows that you don't have a clue. How many people said before the PBF-Shane fight that Shane would outwork PBF and KO him? Funny how that turned out.:yep

well not just that pac like mosley does good against fighters who fight in straight lines and rely on there offense to win fights or either of those two attributes alone....

pac is gonna be scared to throw....ill give pac the 2nd round just like mosley...from that point on it will be a clinic and mayweather will stop him

Age has nada to do with it ... @ 25 fernando vargas was considered a shot fighter and the fight every1 points to was the trinidad fight ...... cotto got his ass whooped by marga-cheto and there for after he was iffy ... GRANTED shane isn't who he used to be .. but going into the fight with may it was considered a 'pick em' fight among most people or mayweather as a slight favorite ... when manny gets tagged a couple times he stops rushing in until he lands something or the opponent seems to have punched themselves out for the moment ... so if it becomes a chess fight, manny doesn't stand a chance ... simply put if manny fights floyd the way he fought marquez .. manny is gonna get washed

So what, Cotto - Pac was a pickem fight as well. What does that prove?

Cotto looked sharp and live in the Pac fight, while Mosley looked like an old man against Floyd - those are the facts. And age has a lot to do with it when your going on 39 years old.

for some reason floyd mayweather fans are happy with their man NOT fighting

i remember making threads about how floyd should fight mosley and i got jumped on and called 'idiot' etc and that mosley hasn't done ****, he isn't a draw etc etc

a few years ago i made a thread about floyd fighting cotto and the exact same thing happened, "who the hell is cotto", "why should floyd wasye his time" etc etc

they like floyd not fighting .

    I remember that anti-cotto ****.

I used to come to this forum for news and never would post because all I saw was threads about how some guy was a ******* or something. People seriously said cotto didn't stand a chance against may so they shouldn't fight.

    I hate that logic.

Bull**** .. when mosley landed that bomb on may, no1 was saying mosley looked old ... and that's a fact ... cotto had no fight in him after the 4th and I credit pac for that ... mosley had no fight after the 2nd and I credit may ... but going into both fights .. it was made clear that pac fought a battle worn p4p #5 cotto and that may was going in the 38 YR OLD p4p #3 mosley ..
