that showed the fight made the top 10 of pay-per-view bouts ever. The most pay-per-view buys for a fight was 2.4 million for Mayweather's 2007 bout with Oscar De La Hoya.

Mayweather's manager, Leonard Ellerbe, said the buys helped Mayweather pocket $40 million for the fight. He had been guaranteed $22.5 million plus a percentage of the sales.

Those are terrible numbers. Who in their right mind would keep fighting for only 40 million per fight?

Good numbers, but I expected something close to 2mil. I think Floyd and his camp did as well.

The real question is how will this affect the split between Floyd/Manny?

I could see this being something that has to be reworked.

Mayweather is box office. Good to see America still loves a good superfight.
