The guy is right, I shouldn't have mentioned it if I wasn't going to divulge. Sorry if that disappoints him.

The conversation about the wraps came up in a gym I was at. I wasn't even working on the Margarito story at that moment. This was quite some time after Arum and Kizer said what they did. As I am still developing a trust with the guys and could tell they were wary about me going to print with it, I noted it, recorded what they said and stored it.

I'll use it at some point. Right now, though, I;m just gathering more info.

In the internet age, ppl want it all right now. I was guilty of doing that in the past and now I am learning to follow the example of Hauser who understands the benefit of approaching some stories like a marathon.

Come off it Divac. You sound silly. Insulting the guy because he won't tell you what you want to hear.

He is not going to tell you Margarito is innocent, or that some kind of conspiracy was behind his getting caught with something illegal in his gloves.
That is what this is all about, isn't it?

 It looked as though he tripped, then followed through with a flip at the end. He looked fine when he was holding his head...but all of a sudden just lay on the floor.

I don't think anyone will truly know what happened but from his previous actions in other fights it's likely he bitched out.

He was released quickly from hospital without injury. I get the feeling if it was anyone else that tripped like that:

    1. They would've stopped themselves from exiting the ring.

    2. If they did fall out, they would've gotten back up.

    Kermit looks weak IMO.

Montoya is saying he has credible sources (trainers) that say Nevada does not provide wrapping material to the fighters........

Why the hell would a trainer want his name out of it if what he was saying was true?

If I'm a trainer and I read a quote from the head of the NSAC stating that they provide tape and gauze, and I know that I had one of my fighters just recently fight there and I wrapped him with my own tape and gauze, why the hell would'nt I want the facts quoted by a boxing writer????

Bob Arum has said the Nevada provides tape and gauze as well, why has'nt team Cotto rebutted that statement?

Now Montoya is saying that those that told him what they did were'nt very comfortable saying it.......the only reason not to feel comfortable about something as simple as the truth when in regards to handwraps in Nevada, is when you're lying through your teeth or just plain not sure if what you're saying is the truth.

Conditioner mentioned that Cintron wrapped with his own gauze and tape in 2005 in Vegas, it would be interesting to get to the bottom of this and have someone refute the head of the NSAC by stating that so an so recently fought in Nevada and was wrapping with his own gauze and tape.

......to date, there has'nt been any source discrediting the head of the NSAC.
The first I heard of someone trying was in this thread by Montoya, but he was unwilling to back up his claims.

All we know is that Margarito was caught with illegal **** against Mosley. The previous fights is pure speculation, which is a shame because had he fought clean- and as remembered at the time, the were great performances.

Now why do you think a guy might not want to say something that contradicts the head of the commission that boasts the biggest venue for fights in the world?
