Why did people keep positing the Klitschkos and Haye as potential draws for American PPV numbers? The one American PPV that was headlined by a Klitschko had the lowest buy rate of any HW title fight until Don King had the brilliant idea to make Maskaev/Rahman a PPV fight. HBO isn't even willing to televise their squash matches on WCB anymore. As for Haye, how many of his fights have even been televised in the US? 2? You honestly think that American casual fans have any idea who the **** he is? There is no hugher grossing fight (in the US) than Mayweather/Pac.

Of course, if the Klitschkos actually decided to fight each other, I'm sure that would be a massive blockbuster (in Europe).

Haye v either Klitschko would do over 2 Million PPV's in Britain and Germany combined. I'm sure Hayes fight against Valuev did 800,000 in Britain so you've got to imagine he would trump that against a Klitschko, possibly around the 1 million mark. Add to that the brothers are massive in Germany so I'd imagine they could do around the million mark over there.

We (Americans) know them but are not real fans of them.

Don't think there is another fight out there other than May/Pac that would do over a million right now.

    ^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^

Maybe PBF v Cotto or Sergio

you need to have a strong A side and a live B side + Background story + crossover appeal.

Kbros v anybody= weak A side and weak B side + (Haye or Adameck has Background) But Zero crossover appeal.

You would be lucky to get 500k buy rate for Heavyweight PPV.

Pac v Anybody (besides PBF) - Pac is Huge among fans but his crossover is limited. Look at Pac v Clottey (live yet weak draw B side). Good Background, this was Pacs first real test @ 147 against A much larger man with great defense. But Zero crossover appeal (mainly due to clottey weak base)

Given the proper marketing and promotion, Hopkins - Allen 4 could breach the 2M mark.

If Wlad unified all the belts and beat haye and Tyson came out of retirement to fight Wlad, that fight could do very well numbers (how pathetic that would be)

If Lewis fought Vitali and they marketed it well, it could do at least a million if not 1.5

If Cotto wins at 154, and fights mayweather, that could do 2 million I think

Not in U.S. PPV numbers. Maybe if you have Pacquiao and Mayweather fighting different opponents on the same card, or if Tyson comes out of retirement against a prominent HW, but that's about it. Vitali vs. Wlad wouldn't break a million in the US.
