First of all, I want to say that it takes heart for any person to step into the ring and trade punches with another person...BUT

I'd have to say that it is really, really hard see how cintron was not able to stop himself from going out of the ring... I must have watched the clip about 20 times

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHQA-uznuHk[/ame]

at 1:30 of the video, cintron's foot does clip williams' foot (barely) but that didnt' make him go off balance... he is off balance for a little bit but he keeps running forward...

then pause at 1:33 and you will see cintron's left foot step down and push off at ball of the front foot and lower his head as he was approaching the ropes...

it's hard to say if he did it intentionally, but the evidence is making me lean towards that... (even though i don't want to)

please view and let me know what you think... :good

Looks like a normal fall to me and he knocks his head on the side

Don't get what the fuss is all about

Cintron could have stopped himself, I'm sure his arms weren't that tired that he couldn't try to grab some ropes while he was falling.

Funny that it looks so much worse in the action replay - though I suspect it really was just his momentum carrying him through.

    No, that angle is misleading

Look at the same time of the fall, at the angle from the side, at 1:04 in that video.

At the time, Cintron's left foot is on the canvas. However by that time his whole body is already through the ropes and is lower than 2nd rope.

The left foot had no impact on his momentum, the rest of his body was already going to pull him through the ropes.

    He didn't jump.

the ****ing ropes weren't even held together properly... and why would he jump out of the ring on purpose? to that point he was having his best round of the fight and catching Williams with some great shots.

i think he let his momentum take him and was expecting to just crash into the ropes... maybe he figured it was better to hit the ropes rather than to try pull up and risk injuring his leg or something

OMG... thank you. SOMEONE else agrees with me. :good

I find it absolutely incredible that SO MANY people here are actually stating that Cintron PURPOSELY launched himself out of the ring, towards a monitor, table, people etc. in a fight he WAS WINNING. :rofl

I'll say it again... at 0:48 of this clip, Williams right foot/leg accidentally clips Cintron's right leg which aids to him going through the ropes in the manner he did.

you see how quickly williams went to the floor because he steadied himself?... and that takes a bit of athleticism to see your surroundings and stop yourself... now, i see it that cintron is actually more athletic then williams and he put it on full display be the *WAY* he fell out of the ring... kinda of reminded me of how a swimmer dives into the pool right at the start of a race...

and again, i cannot explain why anyone would do this... i'm not saying he did it on purpose... i'm just saying that it *LOOKS* like he could have stopped himself by hitting the ropes, not ducking under to go through them...but i do understand that if he was to fall on the ropes, he could have been caught in the neck and sustained a serious injury as well...

the 0:48 clip is too fast to tell... that's why you must look at the 1:30 part where it was actually shown in slow motion... they have it in two different angles...

but yeah.. just my opinion that he could've stopped in a different way... :good
