I think they're smartly trying to see if he's really about as far as he can come. You've seen Wlad up close. Can you blame them for wanting to be ready? He earned his shot too quickly. He could get ruined before he reaches his best if he's not careful, and maybe even if he is.

Team Povetkin should look at themself and Atlas should look at the trees in russia! Maybe Povetkin will strugle again over a tree.

where is that silent sonofabitch shitbag haye? why doesn't he come out of hiding and say something about how he wants to get rid of the Klitschko brothers for 50-50? why doesn't that yellow baastard talk his **** now?

haye is the biggest shame in hwt history bar none.

If the Klitschko-Haye negotiations are ongoing until Sunday, as the article suggests, then why does he need to come out and say anything at all?

I wouldn't waste time flapping my gums just for the sake of a some keyboard warriors that won't believe what he says anyway.

Sauerland's Chris Meyer: "Kitschko-Haye probably will not take place in 2010". What more do you need to hear from Haye?

The longer this fight takes the biggest it gets and these guys know that this is possibly the only big enough fight in the division so they're probably waiting to make it even bigger.

The only one who is waiting is Haye, waiting for the Klitschkos to retire :deal

You mean like we were waiting for Lewis - Bowe to happen? Wow that worked out well!

If the fight can happen now Haye should take it right now because we have no idea if there will be another window of opportunity ever again. Waiting for fights to "get bigger down the line" is just a BS excuse to keep a fight from happening for no reason whatsoever. Who loses? Us, the boxing fans!

I'm assuming Wlad-Haye has a good shot at happening later this year. Its a big fight and Klitschko seems determined to make it happen. If it doesn't happen then Povetkin is talking like he wants his chance. I don't know if he'll take the fight or not, I would hope he would. If not than we might get Wlad-Peter again. Wlad fought just once last year due to a lot of wasted time with Haye, I hate to see him waste even more of his peak years in negotiations instead of the ring. Make the fight with Haye quickly or move on. Contrary to the overall popular opinion Wlad does have a handful of reasonable options out there.

There are experts on this forum that claim Povetkin is better than Haye and Adamek.

I actually like Povetkins approach. He earned the shot years ago but he has honed his skills won 5 fights since switched trainers and is perfecting his strategy, skills, and fitness. He is not like Arreolla or Chambers or Brock or Austin or thompson who take that 1st opportunity right away cause thats all they can get and they get hammerredby a much better fighter and it shortens their career. Povetkin is climbing thee ladder and doing something modern heavwweights in this era dont do train hard and try to win. All of Klitschkos opponents are fat Americans who want their golden ticket a check. For the Povetkins and the Sosnowskis they wanna be champions.

i see it now. sauerland is going to try to use the pawn of povetkin to protect their other pawn in haye from the King Klitschko. sauerland will take the fall as their boy haye ducks Klitschko for the THIRD time.

povetkin will probably pretend to fall over another tree root to duck Klitschko for the second time.

sauerland will do anything to save their pawns from being destroyed

True dat. Reallly Wlad's most serious challenger is the top dog who is willing to fight him on reasonable terms. Right now that might be Peter. Peter is probably about as likely as the other 2 to give Wladmir problems.

I guess the problem is Wladmir would like to make more money than he would fighting Peter...hence the negos with Povetkin and Haye.

Maybe Klitschko should send out feelers to Team Adamek, though I would hope Adamek is smart enough to avoid Klitschko as long as possible.
