You hear of jake LaMatta, Muhammad Ali, Marvin Hagler and Oliver McCall in these type of threads, but here is a guy who, in my opinion, has a tougher beard. he went the distance against such great punchers as:

    Bazooka Limon
    Jose Luis Ramiraz
    Edwin Roserio
    Ray Mancini
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Felix Trinidad
    Oscar De la Hoya
    Roberto Duran
    Louis Ramon Campas

Win or lose he didn't get Ko'd and I don't think knocked down (at least by any of these guys).

If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm talking about Hector Camacho Sr.

I think one of the toughest chins I've seen displayed on film is Tony Zales - particularly in the Cerdan fight - i just can't fathom how he took some of the hammer he did - mindboggling!!

Good shout. I think his style and reflexes had something with it to do too.

Absolutely. It seems like the consensus that after getting his bell rung early in his career, he really sharpened up on the D. But, this thread is a good call for sure. Hard to believe he hasn't gotten stopped yet. It's like Hagler still fighting but at heavyweight and not being stopped. Too bad his speech is godawful. 47 or 48 and I think he's scheduled to fight again soon.

Nothing to do with him running like **** then?

As has been discussed recently, Juan Laporte shits all over most lower weight chins.

Gees, I meant to say Camacho was a good call as a mention, although I don't think he's got the best.

Jess Willard had a great chin, too. Often forgotten due to the Dempsey beating.

And one guy who is always overlooked when it comes to chin: Barney Ross.

German fighter with the best chin:
Eckhard Dagge - that guy was used to take flush shots on his chin to discourage his opponents. Against Elisha Obed he took a bad beating for many rounds before stopping him. Obed was highly touted at the time and a very good puncher.

George Chuvalo IMO has to be at least top 5 all time, any weight class with respect to the greatest chins. LaMotta and Hagler deserve mention too.

I say Ali after his suspension. He took some shots from Shavers and Frazier that would of killed any other man.
